Your vehicle has been approved in
accordance with the new ISOFIX
regulation.
T h e r e a r s e a t s a r e fi t t e d w i t h r e g u l a t i o n
ISOFIX mountings.
These are three rings for each seat:
- two lower rings A , l o c a t e d
between the vehicle’s seat back
a n d c u s h i o n ,
- an upper ring B , r e f e r r e d t o a s t h e
T O P T E T H E R , l o c a t e d a t t h e r e a r
of the seat back at the bottom. The
ISOFIX child seats a r e fi t t e d
with two locks and/or a strap which
a r e s e c u r e d e a s i l y o n t h e s e r i n g s ,
indicated by labels or a mark on the
rear seat back panel.

Central STOP
warning light
T h i s fl a s h e s f o r a f e w s e c -
onds each time the ignition is switched
on. Linked with the warnings:
- " e n g i n e o i l p r e s s u r e " ,
- " c o o l a n t t e m p e r a t u r e " ,
Stop immediately if this light comes
on with the engine running.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
Engine oil pressure
warning light
This comes on each time the
ignition is switched on until
the engine is started.
If it comes on linked with the STOP
warning light, with the engine running,
this indicates that the oil pressure is
too low.
Stop immediately.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
Coolant temperature
warning light
This comes on for a few
seconds each time the ignition is
switched on. Anti-lock braking
system (ABS) warning
light
This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
Fixed lighting indicates a malfunction
of the ABS.
H o w e v e r , t h e v e h i c l e r e t a i n s c o n v e n -
tional braking with assistance.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
Handbrake, low brake
fluid level and braking
system warning light
This comes on each time the ignition
is switched on until the handbrake is
released. Electric power steering
warning light
T h i s c o m e s o n f o r a f e w s e c -
onds each time the ignition is
switched on.
Fixed lighting, when the vehicle is
moving, indicates a malfunction of
the electric steering system.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
If this warning light comes on, with
the engine running, this indicates
an abnormal increase in the coolant
temperature.
Stop immediately.
Check the coolant level.
To do this, wait until the engine has
cooled before topping up the level.
The cooling system is pressurised.
When checking the level, and
t o a v o i d a n y r i s k o f s c a l d -
ing, unscrew the cap 1/4 of
a turn to allow the pressure
to drop.
W h e n t h e p r e s s u r e h a s d r o p p e d , r e -
move the cap.
Then:
1. top up, if necessary
(see "Levels").
2. or, if the level is satisfactory,
contact a CITROËN dealer. F i x e d l i g h t i n g , w i t h t h e e n g i n e r u n -
ning, indicates one of the following:
- t h a t t h e h a n d b r a k e i s a p p l i e d o r
has not been released fully, when
the vehicle is moving,
- a n e x c e s s i v e d r o p i n t h e b r a k e fl u i d l e v e l ( i f t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t
r e m a i n s o n e v e n w i t h t h e h a n d -
brake released),
- a b r a k i n g s y s t e m f a u l t .
Stop immediately.

Battery charge warning
light
This comes on each time the
ignition is switched on until
the engine is started.
F i x e d l i g h t i n g , w i t h t h e e n g i n e r u n -
ning, indicates a malfunction.

Driver’s seat belt not
fastened warning light *
When the ignition is switched
o n , t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t fl a s h e s u n t i l t h e
driver fastens his seat belt.
Above a speed of approximately
10 mph (15 km/h), the warning light
fl a s h e s a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n a u d i b l e
signal until the driver fastens his seat
belt.
T h e d r i v e r m u s t e n s u r e t h a t a l l p a s -
sengers have fastened their seat belt
correctly.
Air bags warning light
T h i s c o m e s o n f o r a f e w s e c -
onds each time the ignition is
switched on.
Passenger air bag disarmed
If the passenger air bag is disarmed,
the warning light remains on. SensoDrive gearbox
warning light
Fixed lighting of this warning
l i g h t , w i t h t h e e n g i n e r u n n i n g , i n d i -
cates a malfunction of the SensoDrive
gearbox.
Emission control
system warning light
This comes on each time the
ignition is switched on until
the engine is started.
F i x e d l i g h t i n g , w i t h t h e e n g i n e r u n -
ning, indicates an emission control
system fault.
Consult a CITROËN dealer. Diesel engine pre-heat
warning light
Wait until the warning light is
switched off before starting.
I f t h e t e m p e r a t u r e i s s u f fi c i e n t , t h e
w a r n i n g l i g h t c o m e s o n b r i e fl y , y o u
can start without waiting.
Water in diesel filter
warning light **
This comes on for a few
seconds each time the ignition is
switched on.
F i x e d l i g h t i n g , w i t h t h e e n g i n e r u n -
ning, indicates a risk of damage to
the engine.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.

Dynamic stability
control system
(ASR/ESP) activation
warning light
This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
W i t h t h e e n g i n e r u n n i n g a n d t h e v e h i -
cle moving, it comes on if the system
is activated. Dynamic stability
control system (ASR/
ESP) fault warning light
This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
If this warning light comes on, with
the engine running, this indicates a
fault in the system.

If this warning light comes on,
with the engine running, this
indicates a malfunction of the
"SensoDrive" gearbox. Fuel gauge
This indicates the quantity of fuel
available:
-
1/1 and six blocks, the fuel tank
is full.
- R a n d o n e b l o c k fl a s h i n g , t h e
fuel tank is on the reserve.
Low fuel level
When the minimum level in the fuel
t a n k i s r e a c h e d , t h e l a s t b l o c k fl a s h e s
accompanied by an audible signal.
I n c e r t a i n d r i v i n g c o n d i t i o n s a n d d e p e n d -
ing on the engine, the distance which
can be travelled with the fuel remaining
may be less than 30 miles (50 km).
You have approximately 5 litres remaining.
W h e n t h e f r e q u e n c y o f t h e fl a s h i n g i n c r e a s e s ,
you have approximately 3 litres remaining .
At least 5 litres must be added
after running out of fuel. Running out of diesel fuel
After running out of fuel, you
can travel a short distance
a f t e r 1 0 p u m p r e p r i m i n g o p -
erations (see corresponding
section).
A f t e r fi l l i n g t h e f u e l t a n k ( m i n i m u m
5 litres), operate the repriming pump
at least 10 times (see corresponding
section).

ACCESS
FILLING THE FUEL TANK
O p e n t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p .
Insert the key, turn it slightly to the
left then return to the right. The
key returns to its initial position
and the cap is unlocked.
Low fuel level
When the fuel tank minimum
level is reached, the last
b l o c k fl a s h e s , a c c o m p a n i e d
by an audible signal.
You have approximately
5 litres remaining.
In certain driving conditions and
depending on the engine, the
distance which can be travelled with
the fuel remaining may be less than
30 miles (50 km).
W h e n t h e f r e q u e n c y o f t h e fl a s h i n g
increases, you have approximately
3 litres remaining .
Unscrew the cap and hook it onto
the clip located on the inside of
t h e fl a p .
A l a b e l a f fi x e d o n t h e i n s i d e o f t h e
fl a p r e m i n d s y o u w h i c h t y p e o f f u e l
to use.
W h e n y o u fi l l t h e f u e l t a n k , d o
not continue after the 3rd cut-off
of the pump. This could cause
malfunctions.
Remove the key.
Note: if you run out of fuel,
the emission control system
warning light may come on
on the instrument panel. It
will switch off automatically
after the engine has been started a
few times.
T h e f u e l t a n k m u s t b e fi l l e d
with the engine switched
off .
The capacity of the fuel tank is
approximately 35 litres.
A f t e r fi l l i n g t h e f u e l t a n k , s c r e w
the cap back on fully to the right
u n t i l i t c l i c k s a n d c l o s e t h e fl a p .
