Changing the reversing lights

 Open the tailgate (refer to the
“Access” section),

 From the inside of the tailgate, in-
sert a screwdriver in the opening on
the cover A to use it as a lever to
open the cover. Changing the number plate lights

 Open the tailgate (refer to the
“Access” section) to gain access to
the number plate lights D ,

 Remove the light unit D while
pressing it to the left.

 Turn the pin B to the left and remove
it.
 Pull the bulb C and change it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
 Insert a thin screwdriver in the ope-
ning on the lens to press the tab E .

 Remove the lens.

 Pull the bulb and change it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in
reverse order.

 To refi t the light unit, insert the end
of the tab F fi rst, then align the
tab G .

 Open the tailgate and the lower tail-
gate (refer to the “Access” section)
and fold down the cover A .

 Remove the 4 clips B using a
screwdriver to detach the light
cover.

 Remove the bolts C and remove the
light unit.
 Turn the pin and bulb assembly D to
the left.

 Remove the bulb.
To refi t, carry out these operations in
reverse order.

 When refi tting the light unit, align
the clips E with the openings on the
bodywork.

INTERIOR BULBS
Front and rear courtesy lights

 Insert a screwdriver to remove the courtesy light cover.

 Remove the bulb while pressing the tab A .
To refi t the cover, align the hooks on the holes located in the body of the vehicle. Glove box light

 Turn the pin B anticlockwise and re-
move it.

 Remove the bulb.
Low level light

 Insert a screwdriver to remove the
light cover.

 Remove the bulb.

CHANGING A FUSE
Access to the tools
The extraction pliers are installed in the
engine compartment fuse box.
To gain access to them:

 Open the bonnet (refer to the «Ac-
cess» section),

 Press on the hook A and release
the catch,

 Remove the cover completely,

 Remove the pliers B . CITRÖEN will not accept re-
sponsibility for the cost incurred
in repairing your vehicle or for
rectifying the malfunctions resulting
from the installation of accessories
not supplied and not recommended
by CITRÖEN and not installed in ac-
cordance with its instructions, in par-
ticular when the consumption of all of
the additional equipment connected
exceeds 10 milliamperes. Your vehicle’s electrical system is
designed to operate with standard
or optional equipment.
Before installing other electrical
equipment or accessories in your
vehicle, contact a CITRÖEN dealer.
Changing a fuse
Before changing a fuse, the cause of the
failure must be identifi ed and rectifi ed.

 Identify the faulty fuse by checking
the condition of its fi lament.

 Use the special pliers to extract the
fuse from its location.

 Always replace the faulty fuse with
a fuse of the same rating.

 Check the correspondence between
the number etched on the box, the
rating etched on the top and the ta-
bles below. Correct
Incorrect
The spare fuses are located on the
engine compartment fuse box cover.
Operating procedure for replacing a
faulty fuse with a new fuse to rectify a
failure in the corresponding function.

Fascia fuses
The fuse boxes are placed in the lower
part of the fascia behind the glove box.
Access to the fuses

 Open the glove box,

 Push the two opening guides C inwards to
pass the fi rst notch,

 Remove the retaining tab D pulling it outwards,

 Support the cover and tilt it downwards,

 Change the fuse (refer to the corresponding
paragraph).

Engine compartment fuses
The fuse box is placed in the engine compartment near the
battery (left-hand side).
Access to the fuses

 Open the bonnet (refer to the «Access» section),

 Press on the hook A to release the catch ,

 Remove the cover completely,

 Change the fuse (refer to the corresponding paragraph).

 When you have fi nished, close the cover carefully to
guarantee the sealing of the fuse box.

Spare fuses
The spare fuses are located under the engine compartment
fuse box cover. The cover does not contain spare fuses with an amper-
age of 7.5 A, 25 A or 30 A. If one of the fuses with these
amperages develops a fault, replace it with the following
fuse:
A 7.5 A fuse must be replaced with the
10 A spare fuse ,
a
25 A fuse with a
20 A spare fuse and a
30 A fuse with
the audio system fuse (N° 31) .
* The maxi-fuses provide additional protection for the el
ectrical systems. All work on the maxi-fuses must be carried
out by a CITRÖEN dealer.
