INSTALLING CHILD SEATS ATTACHED USING THE SEAT BELT
In accordance with European regulations, this table indicates the options for installing child seats secured using a seat b elt
and universally approved (a) in accordance with the weight of the child and the seat in the vehicle.

Installing a booster seat
The chest part of the seat belt must
be positioned on the child's shoulder
without touching the neck.
Ensure that the lap part of the seat
belt passes correctly over the child's
thighs.

ted with a seat belt guide at shoulder
level. As a safety precaution, do not leave:
- one or more children alone and
unsupervised in a vehicle,
- a child or an animal in a vehicle which is exposed to the sun, with
the windows closed,
- the keys within reach of children inside the vehicle.
To prevent accidental opening of the
doors and rear windows, use the
"Child lock".
Take care not to open the rear win-
dows by more than one third.
To protect young children from the
r a y s o f t h e s u n , fi t s i d e b l i n d s o n t h e
rear windows.
The incorrect installation of a child
seat in a vehicle compromises the
child's protection in the event of an ac-
cident.
R e m e m b e r t o f a s t e n t h e s e a t b e l t s o r
the child seat harnesses keeping the
slack in relation to the child's body to
a minimum , even for short journeys.
For optimum installation of the
"forwards-facing" child seat, ensure
that the back of the child seat is in
contact with the back of the vehicle's
seat and that the head restraint does
not cause any discomfort.
If the head restraint has to be removed,
ensure that it is stored or attached
securely to prevent it from being thrown
around the vehicle in the event of sharp
braking.
Children under the age of 10 must not
travel in the "forwards-facing" position
on the front passenger seat, unless
the rear seats are already occupied by
other children, cannot be used or are
absent.
Disarm the passenger air bag when
a "rearwards-facing" child seat is in-
stalled on the front seat.
Otherwise, the child would risk being
seriously injured or killed if the air bag
w e r e t o i n fl a t e .

"ISOFIX" MOUNTINGS
Your vehicle is approved in conformance
with the new ISOFIX regulations .
T h e s e a t s r e p r e s e n t e d b e l o w , a r e fi t t e d
with regulation ISOFIX mountings. There are 3 rings for each seat:
- 2 rings
A , located between the
backrest and the seat cushion, with
a sticker,
- a ring B , located in the roof, with the
TOP TETHER l o g o , f o r t h e fi x i n g o f
the top belt.

To attach this belt, raise the head re-
straint of the seat, then pass the buckle
b e t w e e n t h e r o d s . T h e n fi x t h e b u c k l e
on ring B , then tension the top belt.
If a child is not installed in a vehicle cor-
rectly, the child's protection in the event
of a collision will be compromised.

Fastening
Pull the strap, then insert the tongue
in the buckle.
Check that the seat belt is fastened
correctly by pulling the strap.
To lower the attachment point,
squeeze the control A and slide it
downwards.
To raise the attachment point, slide
the control A upwards.
When the ignition is switched
on, this warning light comes on,
either on the instrument panel
or on the seat belt and passen-
ger’s front air bag warning lights display,
if the driver and/or the front passenger
has not fastened his seat belt.
From approximately 12 mph (20 km/h)
t h i s w a r n i n g l i g h t fl a s h e s f o r t w o m i n u t e s
accompanied by an audible signal. Once
these two minutes have elapsed, this
warning light remains on until the driver
and/or the front passenger fastens his
seat belt.
Unfastening
Press the red button on the buckle.
Guide the seat belt as it rolls up. SEAT BELTS
Front seat belts
T h e f r o n t s e a t b e l t s a r e fi t t e d w i t h a p r e -
tensioning and force limiting system.
This system improves safety in the front
seats in the event of a front impact.
Depending on the severity of the
impact, the pretensioning system
instantly tightens the seat belts against
the body of the occupants.
The pretensioning seat belts are active
when the ignition is on.
The force limiter reduces the pressure
of the seat belt on the chest of the occu-
pant, so increasing his protection.

three-point inertia reel seat belt with
force limiter (with the exception of the
rear centre seat).
Locking
When the rear side side belts are not being
used, you can lock them in place. To do so:
Raise the bracket A to its maximum
height.
Fastening
Pull the strap, then insert the tongue
in the buckle.
Check that the seat belt is fastened
correctly by pulling the strap.
Seat belt unfastened warning lights
display
When the ignition is switched on, the cor-
responding warning lights 4 , 5 and 6 come
o n i n r e d f o r a p p r o x i m a t e l y 3 0 s e c o n d s , i f
the seat belt is not fastened.
When the engine is running or the vehicle
is moving, the corresponding warning light
4 , 5 or 6 comes on in red, accompanied by
an audible signal and a message on the
multifunction display, if a rear passenger
has unfastened his seat belt.
Unfastening
Press the red button on the buckle.
Guide the seat belt as it rolls up.
The corresponding warning light 2 or 3
comes on in red on the seat belt and
passenger’s front air bag warning lights
display if the seat belt is not fastened or
is unfastened. Seat belt unfastened warning light
This warning light comes on, either
on the instrument panel or on the
seat belt and passenger’s front air
bag warning lights display, when one
or more rear passengers unfasten
their seat belt.
From approximately 12 mph (20 km/h), this
w a r n i n g l i g h t fl a s h e s f o r t w o m i n u t e s a c c o m -
panied by an audible signal of increasing
volume. Once these two minutes have elapsed,
this warning light remains on until the one or
more rear passengers fasten their seat belt.
