Thetirepressurefunctionoftheon-boardcompu-terdisplaysthetirepressures(actualpressure)dependentontemperatureinthefourwheels.Youcanwatchthetirepressureriseasthetemperatureincreaseswhiledriving.Thisdisplayisonlyforinformation.
Undernocircumstancesshouldthetirepressuresbechangedbasedonthisdisplay.

Pushoperatingleverupordownuntilthetirepressurefunctionoftheon-boardcom-puterappears.(Theselectionfieldmustbeswitchedoff.)
PressureinfoinTirepressuremenu
Inaccordancewithphysicalprinciples,theairpressurechangesasthetemperaturechanges.Thetirepressureincreasesordecreasesbyaround1.5psi(0.1bar)forevery18°F(10°C)changeintemperature.
TheTirePressureMonitoringtakesthisrelationshipbetweentirepressureandtemperatureintoaccount.
Youcanreadthetirepressurestobecorrect-edinthisdisplay.
Thetirepressuretobecorrected(refillpressure)isindicatedonthedisplayedwheel.Example:If“-1.5psi(-0.1bar)”isdisplayed,1.5psi(0.1bar)mustbeaddedtothistire.
Note
TheTirepressuremenucanonlybecalledupwhenthevehicleisstationary.

Thepressureinthetireistoolowby3to6psi(0.2to0.4bar).Drivingwithinsufficienttirepressurereducestheroadsafetyofthevehicleanddestroysthetireandwheel.
Thetirepressurewarningcontainstheaffectedtirewiththetirepressuretobeadded.Correctthetirepressureatthenextopportunity.
Thistirepressurewarningappearswithvehiclestoppedandcanbeacknowledged.Thetirepressurewarninglightintheinstrumentpanelgoesoutwhenthetirepressurehasbeencorrected.

Thistirepressurewarningappearswhendrivingandcanbeacknowledged.Thetirepressurewarninglightintheinstrumentpanelgoesoutwhenthetirepressurehasbeencorrected.
Systemlearning
TheTirePressureMonitoringbeginsto“learn”thewheelsafterawheelchange,wheeltransmitterreplacementorupdateofthetiresettings.During
thisprocess,theTirePressureMonitoringrecog-nizesthetiresandtheirlocations.Theon-boardcomputerdisplayesthemessage“TPCinactive-systemlearning”.
TheTirePressureMonitoringrequiresacertainamountoftimetolearnthewheels.Duringthistime,thecurrenttirepressuresarenotavailableontheon-board-computer:
–ThedisplayoftheTirepressurefunctionoftheon-boardcomputershowslines.
–Therequiredpressuresforcoldtiresat68°F(20°C)areindicatedintheInfopressuredisplayintheTirepressuremenu.
–Tirepressurewarningsareissuedwithouttirepressureandpositioninformation(gure)assoonasthevehicle’sownwheelshavebeendetectedandthetirepressurewarninglighthasgoneout.
PositionandpressureinformationisdisplayedassoonastheTirePressureMonitoringhasassignedthewheelsidentifiedasbelongingtothevehicletothecorrectwheelpositions.
Thewheellearningprocesstakesplaceexclusivelywhenthevehicleisbeingdriven.
Manuallycheckthetirepressureatallwheelsandcorrectthetirepressuretotherequiredvalue.
Changingawheelandreplacingtires
Newwheelsmustbefittedwithradiotransmit-tersfortheTirePressureMonitoring.Beforetiresarechanged,thebatterychargestateofthewheeltransmittersshouldbecheckedatanauthorizedPorschedealer.
Switchtheignitionoffwhenchangingawheel.
Thetiresettingsontheon-boardcomputermustbeupdatedafterchangingawheel.
Amessageappearsifthecharacteristicsofthenewtiresdonotagreewiththeon-boardcomputersettings.
Updatetheon-boardcomputersettingswhenthevehicleisstationarythenexttime.
Warninglight
Thewarninglightinthespeedometerlightsup:
–Whenalossinpressurehasbeendetected
–IftheTirePressureMonitoringisfaulty
–Whenlearningnewlymountedwheels/wheelsensors,aslongasthevehicle’sownwheelshavenotyetbeenrecognized.

Beforetheoillevelismeasured,theengineoilhastohaveflowedbackintotheoilpan.Thetimetakenfortheengineoiltoflowbackdependsontheenginetemperatureandhowlongtheenginehasbeenstopped.
Thiswaitingtimeiscounteddownintheon-boardcomputerdisplaywhentheignitionisswitchedon.Theoilleveldisplaysegmentsstartto“cycle”.
Itisbesttomeasuretheengineoillevelbeforeembarkingonajourney(ifthevehiclehasnotbeendrivenforanextendedperiod)orwiththeengineatoperatingtemperature.Shorterwaitingtimesareachievedinthisway.
Initiatingoillevelmeasurement
Switchignitionon(donotstarttheengine).Theengine-oillevelmeasurementdisplayappearsintheon-boardcomputer.
Allowwaitingtimetoelapse.
Oncethemeasurementhasbeencompleted,youcanreadofftheengineoillevelonthesegmentdisplay.
–Ifthesegmentsarefilledinuptothetopline,theoillevelhasreachedthemaximummark.
