Removing the Spare Tire and Tools
The jack, wheel wrench, jack handle and spare
tire are stowed in the rear of the vehicle,
underneath the oor of the cargo area. To remove
the spare tire and tools do the following:
1. Turn the two lock
knobs on the oor of
the cargo area to
UNLOCK.
2. Lift up the cargo area oor panel, remove the
hook attached to the bottom side of the panel
and hook it over the weatherstripping.
Notice:If you do not put the hook in the proper
location, you could damage your vehicle.
Always put the hook in the proper location in
order to avoid damaging the vehicle.
3. Remove the jack from the tray on the right
side of the compartment and the jack handle
and wheel wrench from the top side of the
compartment.

{CAUTION:
Getting under a vehicle when it is jacked
up is dangerous. If the vehicle slips off
the jack you could be badly injured or
killed. Never get under a vehicle when it is
supported only by a jack.
{CAUTION:
Raising your vehicle with the jack
improperly positioned can damage the
vehicle and even make the vehicle fall. To
help avoid personal injury and vehicle
damage, be sure to t the jack lift head
into the proper location before raising the
vehicle.5. Raise the vehicle by turning the jack handle
clockwise. Raise the vehicle far enough off
the ground so there is enough room for
the compact spare tire to t underneath the
wheel well.
