1.CHECK FUNCTION
With CONSULT-III
Check remote keyless entry receiver "RKE OPE COUN1" in DATA MONITOR mode with CONSULT-III.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Intelligent Key is OK.
NO >> Refer to DLK-150, "

1.CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY FUNCTION
Do doors lock and unlock when using the Intelligent Key buttons?
YES or NO?
YES >> Intelligent Key is OK.
NO >> GO TO 2.
2.CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY BATTERY
Check by connecting a resistance (approximately 300Ω) so that the
current value becomes about 10 mA.
Is the measurement value within specification?
YES >> Intelligent Key battery is OK.
NO >> Replace Intelligent Key battery.

Longitudinal and lateral clearance adjustment
1. With the striker released, loosen the trunk lid hinge nuts and close the trunk lid.
2. Make the lateral clearance and the clearance to the rear window glass equal. Then open the trunk lid to
tighten the nuts.
Surface height adjustment
1. Loosen the striker bolts. Raise the striker to the top position, and temporarily tighten the upper bolt.
2. Close the trunk lid lightly and adjust the surface height. Then open the trunk lid and tighten the striker
bolts.

1. Remove the trunk lid finisher. Refer to INT-17, "Removal and Installation" .
2. Remove the trunk lid wire harness.

3. Remove the nuts (a) and the trunk lid assembly (1).
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:
After installing, apply touch-up paint (body color) to the head of the hinge nuts.

REMOVAL
1. Remove the trunk lid finisher. Refer to INT-17, "Removal and Installation".
2. If equipped, disconnect the trunk lid lock cylinder rod.
3. Remove the release cable.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector (a), remove the bolts (b) and
the trunk lid lock (1).
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

1. Remove the trunk rear plate and trunk rear finisher. Refer to INT-35, "Removal and Installation".
2. Remove the bolts, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the trunk lock actuator.

When trunk lid opener switch is pressed, BCM opens trunk release solenoid.
NOTE:
Trunk release solenoid is not for locking the trunk. The function is only to open the trunk.
OPERATION CONDITION
If the following conditions are not satisfied, trunk release operation is not performed.

BK UNLK: This item is indicated, but inactive.
LOCK: All door lock actuator is locked.
ANTENNAThis test is able to check Intelligent Key antenna operation.
When the following condition are met, hazard warning lamps flash.
ROOM ANT1: Inside key antenna (console) detects Intelligent Key, when “ROOM
ANT1” is selected.
ROOM ANT2: Inside key antenna (instrument center/rear seat) detects Intelligent
Key, when “ROOM ANT2”is selected.
DRIVER ANT: Outside key antenna (driver side) detects Intelligent Key, when “DRIV-
ER ANT” is selected.
ASSIST ANT: Outside key antenna (passenger side) detects Intelligent Key, when
“ASSIST ANT” is selected.
BK DOOR ANT: Outside key antenna (rear bumper) detects Intelligent Key, when “BK
DOOR ANT” is selected.
OUTSIDE BUZZERThis test is able to check Intelligent Key warning buzzer(s) operation.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Check voltage between Intelligent Key unit harness connector
and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 6.
NO >> GO TO 2.
2.CHECK TRUNK REQUEST SWITCH CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect Intelligent Key unit and trunk request switch.
