While Driving, AWD Warning Lamp Flashes Rapidly (When Flashing in Approx.
1 Minute and Then Turning OFF)
NDS000DY
NOTE:
Rapid flashing: 2 times/second
This symptom protects drivetrain parts when a heavy load is applied to the electric controlled coupling and
multiple disc clutch temperature increases. Also, optional distribution of torque sometimes becomes rigid
before lamp flashes rapidly. Both cases are not malfunction.
When this symptom occurs, stop vehicle and allow it to idle for some times. Flashing will stop and system will
be restored.
While Driving, AWD Warning Lamp Flashes Slowly (When Continuing to Flash
until Turning Ignition Switch OFF)
NDS000DZ
NOTE:
Slow flashing: 1 time/2 seconds
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
1. CHECK TIRE
Check the following.
Tire pressure
Wear condition
Longitudinal tire size (There is no difference between longitudinal tires.)
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 2.
NG >> Drive at vehicle speed of 20 km/h (12 MPH) or more for 5 seconds or more after repairing or
replacing damaged parts. (Initialize improper size tire information.)
WT-10
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM
Revision: 2007 April2007 M35/M45
RECEIVER
The receiver receives the air pressure signal transmitted by the transmitter in each wheel.
LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING CONTROL UNIT
The low tire pressure warning control unit (1) reads the air pressure
signal received by the receiver, and controls the low tire pressure
warning lamp operations. It also has a judgementfunction to detect a
system malfunction.
LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LAMP
The combination meter receives tire pressure status from the low tire
pressure warning control unit using CAN communication. When a
low tire pressure condition is sensed by the low tire pressure warn-
ing control unit, the combination meter low tire pressure warning
lamp is activated.
Low Tire Pressure Warning Lamp Indication
*: Standard air pressure is for 230 kpa (2.3 kg/cm2 , 33 psi) vehicle. 1. Tire pressure receiver front 2. Tire pressure receiver rear A. Front wheel house

How to Erase Self-Diagnostic Results
1. Perform applicable inspection of malfunctioning item and then repair or replace.
2. Start engine, and touch “START (NISSAN BASED VHCL)” “AIR PRESSURE MONITOR” “SELF-DIAG
RESULTS” “ERASE” in this order to erase the diagnostic memory.
CAUTION:
If memory cannot be erased, repeat step 1, 2.
3. Perform self-diagnosis again, and make sure that DTC memory is erased.

Operation Procedure
1. Perform “CONSULT-II Start Procedure”. Refer to GI-38, "CONSULT-II Start Procedure" .
2. Touch “DATA MONITOR”.
3. Select from “SELECT MONITOR ITEM”, screen of data monitor is displayed.
NOTE:
When malfunction is detected, CONSULT-II performs REAL-TIME DIAGNOSIS. Also, any malfunction
detected while in this mode will be displayed in real time.

Terminals and Reference Values for IPDM E/RNKS003WI
NOTE:
During LO operation, terminal No. 32 detects front wiper motor stopping or moving by front wiper auto stop signal.
During HI operation, terminal No. 32 detects front wiper motor stopping or moving by front wiper auto stop signal that is output from
terminal No. 44 (not from terminal No. 32).
How to Perform Trouble DiagnosesNKS003WJ
1. Confirm the symptoms and customer complaint.
2. Understand operation description and function description. Refer to WW-4, "
System Description" .
3. Perform the Preliminary Check. Refer to WW-24, "
Preliminary Check" .
4. Check symptom and repair or replace the cause of malfunction.
5. Does the front wiper and washer operate normally? If YES, GO TO 6. If NO, GO TO 4.

Front Wiper Does Not Return to Stop Position When Front Wiper Motor Oper-
ates at Low Speed (After Front Wiper Operate for 10 Seconds, They Stop for 20
Seconds, and After Repeating the Operations Five Times, They Become Inoper-
ative)
NKS003WP
CAUTION:
When auto stop signal has not varied for 10 seconds or longer while IPDM E/R is operating front
wipers, IPDM E/R considers that front wipers are locked, and stops wiper output. That causes this
symptom.
This status can be checked by “DATA MONITOR” of “IPDM E/R” on which “WIPER PROTECTION”
item shows “BLOCK”.
1. CHECK FRONT WIPER STOP SIGNAL
With CONSULT-II
Select “IPDM E/R” on CONSULT-II. With “DATA MONITOR”, make

while front wiper motor is stopped and while front wiper LO is operat-
ing.
