To Adjust the Position of Either Mirror:
1. Move the selecting switch to the
right or left to activate the adjustable mechanism for the corresponding door mirror.
2. Now, adjust the mirror angle by
depressing the appropriate perim-eter switch as illustrated.
CAUTION:
o Do not operate the switch con- tinuously for an unnecessarylength of time.
o Scraping ice from the mirror face
could cause permanent damage.To remove any ice, use a sponge, soft cloth or approved de-icer.
WARNING:
Be careful when judging the size ordistance of any object seen in the passenger side rearview mirror. It is a convex mirror with a curvedsurface. Any objects seen in this mirror are closer than they appear.

B510D01HP-GAT Outside Rearview Mirror Heater (If Installed)
The outside rearview mirror heater is actuated in connection with the rearwindow defroster. To heat the outside rearview mirror glass, push in the switch for the rear window defroster. Therearview mirror glass will be heated for defrosting or defogging and will give you improved rear vision in inclementweather conditions.

B510C01A-AAT Folding the Outside Rearview Mirrors To fold the outside rearview mirrors, push them towards the rear.The outside rearview mirrors can be folded rearward for parking in narrow areas. WARNING:
Do not adjust or fold the outsiderearview mirrors while the vehicle is moving. This could result in loss of control,and an accident which could cause death, serious injury or property damage. HGK2055
Push the switch again to turn the heateroff. The outside rearview mirror heaterautomatically turns itself off after 20 minutes.

B520A01A-AAT Manual Type Your Hyundai is equipped with a day/ night inside rearview mirror. The "night"position is selected by flipping the tab at the bottom of the mirror toward you. In the "night" position, the glare ofheadlights of cars behind you is re- duced.

PARKING BRAKE
B530A03A-AAT Always engage the parking brake be- fore leaving the car. This also turns on the parking brake indicator light whenthe key is in the "ON" or "START" position. Before driving away, be sure that the parking brake is fully released and the indicator light is off. Applying the parking brake To engage the parking brake, first apply the foot brake and then without press- ing the release button in, pull the park- ing brake lever up as far as possible. Inaddition it is recommended that when parking the vehicle on a gradient, the shift lever should be positioned in theappropriate low gear on manual transaxle vehicles or in the P (Park) position on automatic transaxle vehicles. B560A01MC-GAT The fuel-filler lid may be opened from inside the vehicle by pulling up on thefuel-filler lid opener located on the front floor area on the left side of the car. NOTE: If the fuel-filler lid will not open because ice has formed around it, tap lightly or push on the lid tobreak the ice and release the lid. Do not pry on the lid. If necessary, spray around the lid with an ap-proved de-icer fluid (do not use radiator anti-freeze) or move the vehicle to a warm place and allowthe ice to melt.REMOTE FUEL-FILLER LID RELEASE

1. Push in the cruise control mainswitch on the end of the barrel. The "CRUISE" indicator light in the in-strument cluster will be illuminated. This turns the system on.
2. Accelerate to the desired cruising speed above 40 km/h (25 mph).
3. Push the control switch downward
to "SET (COAST)" and release it. The "SET" indicator light in the in- strument cluster will illuminate.
4. Remove your foot from the accel- erator pedal and the desired speedwill automatically be maintained. OGK016661

o Decrease the vehicle speed to lessthan 40 km/h (25 mph).
o Release the main switch. B660D01E-GAT To Resume the Preset Speed The vehicle will automatically resume the speed set prior to cancellation when you push the control switch upward to"RESUME (ACCEL)" position and re- lease it, providing the vehicle speed is above 40 km/h (25 mph).

5. To increase speed, depress the accelerator pedal enough for the vehicle to exceed the preset speed. When you remove your foot from the accelerator pedal, the vehiclewill return to the speed you have set.
WARNING:
To avoid accidental cruise controlengagement, keep the cruise con- trol main switch off when not using the cruise control. o Depress the brake pedal.

SEEK UP ( ) Switch Press the SEEK UP ( ) switch 1 sec. or more.
1. RADIO mode When the SEEK UP ( ) switch is pressed, the unit will automatically tune to the next higher frequency.
2. TAPE mode Pressing the SEEK UP ( ) switch will play the beginning of the next music segment.
3. CD (compact disc)/CDC(compact disc changer) mode
Press the SEEK UP ( ) switch once to skip forward to the beginning of the next track.
VOL ( / ) Switch
o Press the VOL ( ) button to in- crease volume.
o Press the VOL ( ) button to de- cease volume.AUDIO REMOTE CONTROL SWITCH
o With the cruise control engaged,
when the brake pedal is applied, it is normal to hear the cruise control system deactivate. This is an indication of normal systemoperation.
o During normal cruise control
operation, when the"SET(COAST)" is activated or reactivated after applying the brakes, the cruise control willenergize after approximately 3 seconds. This delay is normal.
