To return the seat(s) to the upright position, do the
following:
1. Lift the seatback up and push it rearward all
the way.
2. Lower the seat cushion until it latches into
position.
3. Pull forward on the seatback and up on
the seat cushion to make sure the seat is
securely in place.
4. Return the head restraints (SUV only) to the
upright position.
Third Row Seat (SUV)
Entering or Exiting the Third Row Seat
If your vehicle has a third row seat, you must
fold the second row seat down before entering or
exiting the third row. See “Folding the Seatbacks”
under60/40 Split Bench Seat on page 15
earlier in this section for instructions.
The third row seatback can be folded and the
entire seat can be tilted or removed from
the vehicle.
Folding the Seatback
To fold the seatback, do the following:
Notice:Folding a rear seat with the safety
belts still fastened may cause damage to the
seat or the safety belts. Always unbuckle
the safety belts and return them to their normal
stowed position before folding a rear seat.

the seatback
forward.
