The automatic lighting of f f eature
turns off the headlights, all other
exterior lights, and the instrument
panel lights within 15 seconds of
removing the key from the ignition
switch and closing the driver’s door.
You can change this 15 second timer
to 0, 30, or 60 seconds (see page ).The lights will turn on again when
you unlock or open the driver’s door.
If you unlock the door, but do not
open it within 15 seconds, the lights
will go off. With the driver’s door
open, you will hear a lights-on
reminder chime.
Push the button between the center
vents to turn on the hazard warning
lights (f our-way f lashers). This
causes all f our outside turn signals
and both indicators in the instrument
panel to f lash. Use the hazard
warning lights if you need to park in
a dangerous area near heavy traffic,
or if your vehicle is disabled.
The automatic lighting of f f eature
activates if you leave the headlight
switch in the ‘‘ ’’ or ‘‘ ’’
position, remove the key, open, then
close the driver’s door.
If you remove the key f rom the
ignition switch with the headlight
switch on, but do not open the door
and get out, the lights will turn of f
af ter 10 minutes. 79

µ The SEEK f unction
searches up and down from the
current f requency to f ind a station
with a strong signal. To activate it,
press the or SEEK button, then
release it.
The SCAN function
samples all stations with strong
signals on the selected band. To
activate it, press the SCAN button, or
touch the SCAN icon (models with
navigation system), then release it.
You will see SCAN in the display.
The system will scan f or a station
with a strong signal. When it f inds
one, it will stop and play that station
f or about 5 seconds.
If you do nothing, the system will
scan f or the next strong station and
play it f or 5 seconds. When it plays a
station you want to listen to, press
the SCAN button again.
The band and f requency that the
radio was last tuned to is displayed.
To change bands, press the AM/FM
button (AM or FM button on
Canadian model). On the FM band,
ST will be displayed if the station is
broadcasting in stereo. Stereo
reproduction on AM is not available.
You can use any of f ive methods to
f ind radio stations on the selected
band:

preset buttons, and .
Use the TUNE knob to
tune the radio to a desired f requency.
Turn the knob right to tune to a
higher f requency, or lef t to tune to a
lower f requency.
The ignition switch must be in the
ACCESSORY (I) or ON (II) position.
Turn the system on by pushing the
VOL/PWR knob or the AM/FM
button (AM or FM button on
Canadian model). Adjust the volume
by turning the same knob. The audio system f or your vehicle
can also be operated using the voice
control system. See Navigation
section in your Quick Start Guide f or
an overview of this system and the
Navigation System manual f or

Your vehicle is capable of receiving
XM
Satellite Radio anywhere in the
United States, except Hawaii and
Alaska.
XM
is a registered trade mark of
XM Satellite Radio, Inc. To switch between the
channel mode and the category
mode,pressandholdtheDISP/
MODE button until the mode
changes. On models with navigation
system, touch the MODE icon on the
audio display.
In the channel mode, you can select
all of the available channels. In the
category mode, such as Jazz, Rock,
Classical, etc., you can select all of
the channels within that category.
Each time you press and release the
DISP/MODE button, the display
changes in the f ollowing sequence:
channel name, channel number,
category, artist name, and music title.
You may experience periods when
XM Radio does not transmit the
artist’s name and song title
inf ormation. If this happens, there is
nothing wrong with your system. On models with navigation system,
push the AUDIO button to display
XM inf ormation on the screen.
Turn the TUNE knob lef t
or right to select channels. In the
category mode, you can only select
channels within that category.
In the
category mode, press either button
to select another category.
XM radio receives signals f rom two
satellites to produce clear, high-
quality digital reception. It of f ers
many channels in several categories.
Along with a large selection of
dif f erent types of music, XM radio
allows you to view channel and
category selections in the display.
To listen to XM radio, turn the
ignition switch to the ACCESSORY
(I) or ON (II) position. Push the
PWR/VOL knob to turn on the audio
system, and press the
button. Adjust the volume
by turning the PWR/VOL knob. The
last channel you listened to will show
in the display.

Depending on where you drive, you
may experience reception problems.
Interf erence can be caused by any of
these conditions:Driving on the north side of a
large commercial truck on an
east/west road.
Driving in tunnels.
Driving on a road beside a vertical
wall, steep clif f , or hill to the south
of you.
Driving on the lower level of a
multi-tiered road.
Driving on a single lane road
alongside dense trees taller than
50 ft. (15 m) to the south of you. If your XM Radio service has expired
or you purchased your vehicle f rom
a previous owner, you can listen to a
sampling of the broadcasts available
on XM Satellite Radio. With the
ignition switch in the ACCESSORY
(I) or ON (II) position, push the
PWR/VOL knob to turn on the audio
system and press the button.
A variety of music types and styles
will play.
If you decide to purchase XM
satellite radio service, contact XM
Radio at
, or at
1-800-852-9696. You will need to give
them your radio I.D. number and
your credit card number. To get your
radio I.D. number, turn the TUNE knob until ‘‘0’’ appears in the display.
Your I.D. will appear in the display.
After you’ve registered with XM
Radio, keep your audio system in the
Satellite Radio mode while you wait
f or activation. This should take about
30 minutes.
Driving on the north side of an
east/west mountain road.
While waiting f or activation, make
sure your vehicle remains in an open
area with good reception. Once your
audio system is activated, you should
be able to listen to XM radio
broadcasts. XM Radio will continue
to send an activation signal to your
vehicle for at least 12 hours from the
activation request. If the service has
not been activated after 36 hours,
contact XM Radio.
There may be other geographic
situations that could af f ect XM radio

¼To see the inf lation pressures of all
f our tires, press the SEL/RESET
button. The display changes as
shown above.
Each tire has its own pressure
sensor. If the air pressure of a tire
becomes signif icantly low, the
sensor in that tire immediately sends
a signal that causes the low tire
pressure indicator in the instrument
panel to come on. If this happens,
you will see which tire is losing the
pressure in the multi-information
display along with a ‘‘CHECK TIRE
PRESSURE’’ message.
Your vehicle is equipped with a tire
pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
that turns on every time you start the
engine and monitors the pressure in
your tires while driving.
You will see the above display on the
multi-inf ormation display when you
turn the ignition switch to the ON
(II) position and press the side
of the INFO button three times.

Insert the new bulb into the hole,
and turn it one-quarter turn clock-
wise to lock it in place.
Push the electrical connector back
onto the bulb. Make sure it is on
all the way.
Turn on the f og lights to test the
new bulb.

corner cover, and secure it with
two fastener pins.

side cover.
Remove the bulb by turning it one-
quarter turn counterclockwise. Remove the electrical connector

tab and pulling the connector
down. Start the engine. If you are
replacing a driver’s side bulb, turn
the steering wheel all the way to

Use a f lat-tipped screwdriver to
remove the holding clip f rom the
middle edge of the inner f ender
cover, and pull the inner f ender
cover back.
Remove the socket from the
headlight assembly by turning it
one-quarter turn counterclockwise.Remove the bulb f rom the socket
bypushingitinandturningit
counterclockwise until it unlocks.
Install the new bulb in the socket.
Turn it clockwise to lock it in place.
Insert the socket into the
headlight assembly. Turn it
clockwise to lock it in place.
Test the lights to make sure the
new bulb is working.
Push the inner f ender cover in
place. Install the holding clip, and
lock it in place by pushing on its
center.
Open the trunk.
Using a small screwdriver, pop up
the pin in the center of the
f astener, then remove the f astener.
Unscrew and remove the cargo
net hook f rom the f ender. Pull
back the trunk lining.
Remove the socket by turning it
one-quarter turn counterclockwise.
