Fixing the steel spare wheel
If your vehicle is fitted with alloy
wheels, it is normal to notice, when
tightening the bolts on fitting, that
the washers do not come into
contact with the steel spare wheel.
The wheel is secured by the conical
contact of each bolt.
Tyre under-inflation detection
The spare wheel is not fitted with
a sensor. The punctured wheel
must be repaired by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
Access to the spare wheel
The spare wheel is installed in the boot
under the floor.
To gain access to it, refer to the
paragraph "Access to the tools" on the
previous page.Taking out the wheel

Unscrew the yellow central bolt one
quarter of a turn.
 Raise the spare wheel towards you
from the rear.
 Take the wheel out of the boot.
Putting the wheel back in place
 Put the wheel back in its housing.
 Unscrew the yellow central bolt by a
few turns then put it in place in the
centre of the wheel.
 Tighten fully until the central bolt
clicks to retain the wheel correctly.
 Put the box back in place in the
centre of the wheel and clip it.
 Put the boot floor back in place.

Parking the vehicle
Immobilise the vehicle where it
does not block traffic: if possible,
park the vehicle on level, stable
and non-slippery ground.
Apply the handbrake, switch off the
ignition and engage first gear* to
lock the wheels.
If necessary, place a chock under
the wheel diagonally opposite the
wheel to be changed.
Never go underneath a vehicle
raised using a jack.
* position R for the "2 Tronic"
gearbox.
Removing the wheelList of operations
 Remove the chromed bolt cover from
each of the bolts using the tool 3.
 Remove the plastic cover from the
anti-theft bolt using the tool 3.
 Fit the anti-theft socket 4 on the
wheelbrace 1 to unlock the anti-theft
bolt.
 Unlock the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
 Place the jack 2 in contact with one
of the two front A or rear B locations
provided on the underframe,
whichever is closest to the wheel to
be changed.
 Extend the jack 2 until its base plate
is in contact with the ground. Ensure
that the centreline of the jack base
plate is directly below the location A
or B used.
 Raise the vehicle until there is
sufficient space between the wheel
and the ground to admit the spare
(not punctured) wheel easily.
 Remove the bolts and store them in
a clean place.
 Remove the wheel.

After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel in
the boot correctly, first remove the
central cover.
Have the tightening of the bolts and
the pressure of the spare wheel
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer
without delay.
Have the punctured wheel repaired
and replace it on the vehicle as
soon as possible.
Fitting the wheelList of operations
 Put the wheel in place on the hub.
 Screw in the bolts by hand to the
stop.
 Pre-tighten the anti-theft bolt using
the wheelbrace 1 fitted with the anti-
theft socket 4.
 Pre-tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
 Lower the vehicle fully.
 Fold the jack 2 and detach it.
 Lock the anti-theft bolt using the
wheelbrace 1 fitted with the anti-theft
socket 4.
 Lock the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
 Refit the plastic cover on the anti-
theft bolt and the chromed bolt
covers on each of the bolts.
 Store the wheel and the tools in the
boot.

CHANGING A BULB
Procedure for the replacement of a
faulty bulb with a new bulb.1. Direction indicators(PY 21 W amber).
2. Side lights (W 5 W).
3. Dipped headlamps (H7-55 W).
4.
Main beam headlamps (H1-55 W).
5. Directional headlamps (H7-55 W).
6. Fog lamps (H11-55 W). Changing the direction indicators

Handle the bulbs with a dry cloth.
The headlamps are fitted with
polycarbonate glass with a
protective coating:
 do not clean them using a dry
or abrasive cloth, or using a
detergent or solvent product,
 use a sponge and soapy water. In certain climatic conditions
(low temperature, humidity),
condensation on the internal
surface of the headlamp glass is
normal
; it disappears a few minutes
after the lights are switched on.
Model with dipped headlamps with
elliptical module and directional
headlamps
Amber coloured bulbs, such as
the direction indicators, must be
replaced with bulbs of identical
specification and colour.

Turn the bulb holder one quarter of a
turn and remove it.
 Pull the bulb then change it.
To refit, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
Front lights

Changing the side lights
 Disconnect the main headlamp
connector.
 Remove the plastic protective cover
by pulling on the tab.
 Turn the bulb holder one quarter of a
turn and remove it.
 Pull the bulb and change it.
To refit, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
Changing the dipped headlamps,
main beam headlamps or directional
headlamps
 Disconnect the main headlamp
connector.
 Remove the corresponding plastic
protective cover by pulling on the
tab. Changing the integrated direction
indicator side repeaters

Insert a screwdriver towards the
centre of the repeater between the
repeater and the base of the mirror.
 Tilt the screwdriver to extract the
repeater and remove the repeater.
 Disconnect the repeater connector.
To refit, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
To obtain a replacement repeater,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer.

Disconnect the connector of the
corresponding light.
 Move aside the spring to release the
bulb and remove the bulb.
To refit, carry out these operations in
reverse order . Changing the fog lamps
For replacement of these bulbs, contact
a PEUGEOT dealer.

Rear lights
1. Brake lights (P 21 W).
2. Side lights (R 5 W).
3. Fog lamps (P 21 W).
4. Direction indicators(PY 21 W amber).
5. Reversing lights (P 21 W). Changing bulbs
These five bulbs are changed from
outside the boot :

remove the light fixing bolt,
 take out the light from the outside,
 disconnect the light connector,
 remove the light seal,
 press the four tabs and remove the
bulb holder,
 turn the bulb one quarter of a turn
and change it.
To refit, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
If the vehicle is fitted with the JBL
audio system, on the right-hand
side, open the flap first to gain
access to the fixing bolt.
Amber coloured bulbs, such as
the direction indicators, must be
replaced with bulbs of identical
specification and colour.

Changing the third brake light bulbs
(4 bulbs W 5 W)
 Press on the fixing pins on each side
of the light.
 Take out the light from the outside.
 Turn the bulb holder which
corresponds to the faulty bulb one
quarter of a turn and remove it.
 Pull the bulb and change it.
To refit, carry out these operations in
reverse order. Changing the number plate light
bulbs (W 5 W)

Insert a thin screwdriver in one of the
exterior holes of the lens.

Push it towards the outside to unclip it.
 Remove the lens.
 Pull the bulb and change it.

CHANGING A FUSE
Procedure for the replacement of a
faulty fuse with a new fuse in order to
rectify a failure of the corresponding
function.
Access to the tools
The extraction pliers are installed on the
back of the fascia fuse box cover.
To gain access to them:

unclip the cover pulling at the top,
 remove the cover completely,
 remove the pliers.
Replacing a fuse
Before replacing a fuse, the cause of the
failure must be identified and rectified.
 Identify the faulty fuse by examining
the condition of its filament.
 Use the special pliers to extract the
fuse from its housing.
 Always replace the faulty fuse with a
fuse of the same rating.
 Check that the number engraved
on the box and the rating engraved
on the top correspond to the tables
which follow. Correct
