RESPONSIBILITY FOR MAINTENANCE
The maintenance requirements for your new Hyundai are found in Section 5. As the owner, it is your responsibility to see that all maintenance operations specified by themanufacturer are carried out at the appropriate intervals. When the vehicle is used in severe driving conditions, more frequent maintenance is required for some operations. Maintenance requirements for severe operating conditions are also included in Section 5.

Römer ISOFIX GR1 and the Römer Duo ISOFIX / Britax Duo ISOFIX isapproved according to the requirement ECE-R44. This seat has been tested extensively by Hyundai and is recom-mended for your Hyundai. NOTE: At present, this seat is the only one complying with that provision. Incase that other manufacturers will furnish proof of a respective certifi- cation, Hyundai is going to evalu-ate this seat carefully and will give a recommendation provided that seat complies to the law. B230D02FC-GAT Securing a Child Restraint Sys- tem with "ISOFIX" System and"Tether Anchorage" System ISOFIX is a standardised method of fitting child seats that eliminates the need to use the standard adult seatbelt to secure the seat in the vehicle. Reset switch
o The reset switch is used to zero the
multi-functional display mode.
o Pushing in the reset switch changes the display as follows;

2. Average speed
o This mode indicates the average
speed travelled since the last aver- age speed reset.
o Pressing the reset switch for more
than 1 second, when the averagespeed is being displayed, clears the average speed to zero.Average speed symbol

SPECTACLE CASE
B491A02F-GAT (If Installed) The spectacle case is located on the front overhead console. Push the end of the cover to open thespectacle case.
WARNING:

CAUTION:
Do not leave the switch in this posi-tion for an extended period time when the vehicle is not running.
o OFF In the "OFF" position, the light stays off at all times even though a door is open.

B490A02E-AAT Interior Light The interior courtesy light has a switch of three positions. The three positions are:
oDR In the "DR" position, the interior cour- tesy light comes on when any door isopened regardless of the ignition key position. The light goes out when the door is closed. HFC490

CAUTION:
o Do not operate the switch con- tinuously for an unnecessary length of time.
o Scraping ice from the mirror face could cause permanent damage.To remove any ice, use a sponge, soft cloth or approved de-icer.
WARNING:
Be careful when judging the size ordistance of any object seen in thepassenger side rear view mirror. It is a convex mirror with a curved surface. Any objects seen in thismirror are closer than they appear.
To adjust the position of either mirror:
1. Move the selecting switch to the right or left to activate the adjustable mechanism for the correspondingdoor mirror.
2. Adjust mirror angle by depressing
the appropriate directional switchas illustrated.

6. PRESET STATION SELECT

Six (6) stations for AM, FM1 and FM2 respectively can be preset in the elec-tronic memory circuit on this unit. HOW TO PRESET STATIONS Six AM and twelve FM stations may be programmed into the memory of the radio. Then, by simply pressing the band select button and/or one of the sixstation select buttons, you may recall any of these stations instantly. To pro- gram the stations, follow these steps:
o Press band selector to set the band for AM, FM1, and FM2.
o Select the desired station to be stored by seek, scan or manual tuning.
o Determine the preset station select button you wish to use to access that station.
o Press the station select button for more than two seconds. A selectbutton indicator will show in the dis- play indicating which select buttonyou have depressed. You should then release the button, and proceed to program the next desired station. A total of 18 stations can be pro-grammed by selecting one AM andtwo FM stations per button.
o When completed, any preset station
may be recalled by selecting AM,FM1 or FM2 band and the appropri- ate station button.
CAUTION:
o Do not place beverages close to the audio system. The playbackmechanism may be damaged if you spill them.
o Do not impact on the audio sys- tem, or the playback mechanismcould be damaged.
