B410A01A-AAT (If Installed) The instrument panel lights can be made brighter or dimmer by turning the instrument panel light control knob. B420A02A-AAT For the cigarette lighter to work, the key must be in the "ACC" position orthe "ON" position. To use the cigarette lighter, push it all the way into its socket. When theelement has heated, the lighter will pop out to the "ready" position. Do not hold the cigarette lighter pressedin. This can damage the heating ele- ment and create a fire hazard. If it is necessary to replace the ciga-rette lighter, use only a genuine Hyundai replacement or its approved equiva- lent.

B400A01A-AAT There are three control buttons for the digital clock. Their functions are:
HOUR - Push "H" to advance the hour indicated.
MIN - Push "M" to advance the minute indicated.
RESET- Push "R" to reset minutes to
":00" to facilitate resetting the clock to the correct time. When this is done:
Pressing "R" between 10 : 30 and 11 :29 changes the readout to 11 : 00. Pressing "R" between 11 : 30 and 12 :29 changes the readout to 12 : 00. Type A

B460D03GK-AAT Manual Operation of Sunroof If the sunroof does not electrically op- erate:
1. Remove the cap located in the rearroof panel by using a coin or screw driver. 2. Insert the hexagonal head wrench
provided with the vehicle into the socket. This wrench can be found in the vehicle's trunk or glove box.
3. Push and turn the wrench clockwise
to close or counterclockwise to openthe sunroof.

B460C01S-AAT Tilting the Sunroof system The sunroof can be tilted by pushing the "UP" button with the sunroof closed. Release the button when the sunroofreaches the desired position. To close the sunroof, press the "DOWN" but- ton. NOTE: After washing the car or after there is rain, be sure to wipe off any waterthat is on the sunroof before oper- ating it.

B460E03GK-GAT Resetting the Sunroof System If the battery has been recharged, disconnected or if the sunroof is oper-ated with the hexagonal head wrench manually, you may need to reset the sunroof. To do this;
1. Turn the ignition switch "OFF".
2. With pressing " " "up" button at the same time, turn the ignition switch"ON". The resetting is failed when the ignition key to the "OFF" within1.5 seconds.
3. If the sunroof is set like this, the sunroof is reset with tilting up/down automatically once for all.
CAUTION:
If the sunroof is not reset, it may not be operated properly.

SPECTACLE CASEMAP LIGHT

(1) Push in the map light switch to turn on the driver side light.
(2) In the "DOOR" position, the interior courtesy light comes on when any door is opened regardless of theignition key position. The light goes out gradually 6 seconds after the door is closed.
(3) Push in the map light switch to turn on the driver side light.(1) B491A01F-GAT (If Installed) The spectacle case is located on the front overhead console. Push the end of the cover to open thespectacle case.
WARNING:
Do not open the spectacle casewhile the vehicle is moving. Therear view mirror of the vehicle can be blocked by an open spectacle case.

B620A01S-AAT A red light comes on when the front door is opened. The purpose of thislight is to assist when you get in or out and also to warn passing vehicles.

explosive materials. When refu- eling, please note the following guidelines carefully.
o Before touching the fuel nozzle or fuel filler cap, have one's handsin contact with metal parts awayfrom the filler neck to discharge static electricity.
o Do not get back in the vehicle
while refueling. Do not operateanything that can produce static electricity. Static electricity dis-charge can ignite fuel vapors re- sulting in explosion.
o When using a portable fuel con-
tainer be sure to place the con-tainer on the ground while refu- eling. Static electricity dischargefrom the container can ignite fuel vapors causing a fire. While start- ing refueling contact should bemaintained until the filling is com- plete. o Do not use cellular phones
around a gas station. The elec- tric current or electronic interfer-ence from cellular phones can ignite fuel vapors causing a fire.
o When refueling always shut the
engine off. Sparks by electricalequipment of the engine can ig- nite fuel vapors causing a fire.After refueling, check to make sure the fuel filler cap is securely closed, and then start the en-gine.
o Do not smoke or try to light ciga-
rettes around a gas station. Au-tomotive fuels are flammable.

To remove frost or exterior fog on the windshield:
o Set the air flow control to the defrost
( ) position. (The A/C will turn on automatically and "Fresh" mode will be activated.)
o Set the temperature control to warm.
o Set the fan speed control to position
"3" or "4". NOTE: When the A/C is operated continu- ously on the floor-defrost level ( ) or defrost level ( ), it may cause fogto form on the exterior windshield. If this occurs, set the air flow control to the face level position ( ) and fanspeed control to the low position.

o To keep dust or unpleasant fumes
from entering the car through the ventilation system, temporarily set the air intake control to "Recircula- tion". Be sure to return the control to"Fresh" when the irritation has passed to keep fresh air in the ve- hicle. This will help keep the driveralert and comfortable.
o Air for the heating/cooling system is
drawn in through the grilles just aheadof the windshield. Care should be taken that these are not blocked by leaves, snow, ice or other obstruc-tions.
o To prevent interior fog on the wind-
shield, set the air intake control tothe fresh air ( ) position, turn on the air conditioning system, and ad- just temperature control to desiredtemperature fan speed to the desired position.
