Without lifting (4 wheels on
the ground)
You must always use a towbar.
The removable towing eye is inside
the spare wheel.From the rear:
F
Unclip the top of the cover using a
coin,
F Screw in the towing eye as far as
it will go.
Special features of the
automatic gearbox
When towing with four wheels on the
ground, the following rules must be
obeyed:
- lever in position N,
- tow the vehicle at less than 30 mph (50 km/h) over a maximum
distance of 30 miles (50 km).
- do not add oil to the gearbox.
When towing with the en-
gine switched off, there is
no braking or steering as-
sistance.
TOWING YOUR VEHICLE

It is preferable to raise the vehicle
with a professional lifting device.
From the front:
F
Unclip the cover, by pressing the
bottom part,
F Screw in the towing eye as far as
it will go.

Driving advice
Distribution of loads: Distribute the
load in the trailer so that the heaviest
items are as close as possible to the
axle and the nose weight approaches
the maximum permitted without
exceeding it.
Cooling: towing a trailer on a slope
increases the temperature of the
coolant.
As the fan is electrically controlled,
its cooling capacity is not dependent
on the engine speed.
To lower the engine speed, reduce
your speed.
The maximum towing load on a long
slope depends on the gradient and
the outside temperature.
In all cases, pay attention to the
coolant temperature.
If the warning light comes on, stop
the vehicle and switch off the engine
as soon as possible. Tyres:
check the tyre pressures of
the towing vehicle and of the trailer,
observing the recommended pres-
sures.
Braking: towing increases the brak-
ing distance.
Lights: check the electrical signal-
ling on the trailer.
Side wind: take into acount the in-
creased sensitivity to side wind.
TOWING A TRAILER,
CARAVAN, BOAT, etc.
We recommend the use of original
PEUGEOT towbars that have been
tested and approved from the design
stage of your vehicle and that the it-
ting of the towbar is entrusted to a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Your vehicle is primarily designed
for transporting people and luggage
but it may also be used for towing a
trailer.
Driving with a trailer subjects the tow-
ing vehicle to more signiicant stress
and its driver must be particularly
careful.
Air density decreases with altitude,
thus reducing engine performance.
Above 1000 metres, the maximum
towing load must be reduced by 10%
and so on for every 1000 metres of
altitude.
The rear parking assistance function
will be disarmed automatically when
a towbar is itted.
BOOT LUGGAGE CARRIER*
A boot luggage carrier is available
from your PEUGEOT dealer.
When it is used, take care not to
conceal the third brake light.
Follow the manufacturer's recom-
mendations.

Manual closing of the roof
(emergency mode)
If the roof opening or closing cycle
does not begin or does not function
correctly, check the following points:
F ignition key in running position,
F the screen must be pulled
across,
F the boot must be closed,
F the vehicle speed must be below
6 mph (10 km/h),
F the roof fuse must be in good
condition (see corresponding sec-
tion),
F the windows must be initialised
(see corresponding section),
F the battery voltage must be suf-
icient (the roof control button
indicator light must be lit),
F the vehicle must not be in economy
mode (see corresponding
section),
F the exterior temperature must not
be below - 20°C. In the event of an electrical or hy-
draulic roof malfunction
, it is pos-
sible to close the roof manually.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked.
This possibility is a breakdown so-
lution .
Following manual closing of the roof,
the boot lid hinges will no longer be
locked and the boot will no longer be
sealed.
Two people are required to carry
out this operation. Considerable
force is necessary.
F Park the vehicle, if possible on
level ground.
F Lower the windows.
F Switch off the ignition.
F Apply the handbrake.
When carrying out the roof
closing operation, take care
not to catch your hands in
the mechanisms. The following two tools are provided
in the handbook pocket:
F
Allen
TM key with 5 adaptor A and
6 adaptor B,
F Torx
TM key with 20 adaptor C and
30 adaptor D.

F Open the boot lid.
F Using the hook 1, secure the boot mat on the screen
bar 2.
This allows access to the hydraulic pump screw.
F Press the Allen
TM key adaptor B irmly into the bleed
screw 3, then unscrew half a turn. F
Using the Torx
TM key adaptor C, remove the six plastic
cover bolts 4, located on either side of the boot.
F Remove the two plastic covers 5.
F Extract the cable rings 6 from the trims.
Note: if a cable ring is not visible, carefully insert your hand
behind the trim to extract it.

F Pull the two control cables 7 at the same time to unlock
the boot lid locks.
F While continuing to pull the cables, lift the boot li d
hinges 8 carefully.
Considerable force is required. Release the cables.
Then, lift the assembly rearwards.
Note: the unfolding of the hinges locks the lid in the upper
position. F
Raise the moving shelf 9 lifting it on either side.
Considerable force is required.
F Guide the movement of the shelf until it is in a vertical
position.
F Take hold of the roof 10, unfold it (considerable force is
required) and move it as close as possible to the wind-
screen.
F Reposition the boot mat and roll up the screen.

To remove the boot sill trim:
F remove the three bolts 11, located inside the boot, using
the Torx
TM key adaptor C,
F remove the two bolts 12, located on the boot sill, using
the Torx
TM key adaptor D.
F unclip the boot sill trim 13 to access the hinged covers
motor. F
Using the Allen
TM key adaptor A, unscrew the central
bolt 14 to fold the hinged covers 15 to the end of their
travel.
