Key Reminder Door System
When door lock and unlock switch is operated to lock doors with ignition key put in key cylinder and any door
open, all door lock actuators are locked and then unlocked.
Key reminder door mode can be changed using “WORK SUPPORT” mode in “ANTI-LOCK OUT SET”.
Refer to BL-40, "
Work Support" .
CAN Communication System DescriptionAIS004LQ
CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial communication line for real time application. It is an on-vehicle mul-
tiplex communication line with high data communication speed and excellent error detection ability. Many elec-
tronic control units are equipped onto a vehicle, and each control unit shares information and links with other
control units during operation (not independent). In CAN communication, control units are connected with 2
communication lines (CAN H line, CAN L line) allowing a high rate of information transmission with less wiring.
Each control unit transmits/receives data but selectively reads required data only.
CAN Communication UnitAIS004RP
Refer to LAN-6, "CAN Communication Unit" .

CONSULT-II FunctionAIS004LZ
Power door lock system check with data monitor and active test can be performed by combining data recep-
tion and command transmission via communication line from BCM.
CONSULT-II INSPECTION PROCEDURE
CAUTION:
If CONSULT-II is used with no connection of CONSULT-II CONVERTER, malfunction might be detected
in self-diagnosis depending on control unit which carry out CAN communication.
1. With ignition switch “OFF”.
2. Connect “CONSULT-II” and “CONSULT-II CONVERTER” to the
data link connector.
3. Turn ignition switch “ON”.
4. Touch “START (NISSAN BASED VHCL)”.
5. Touch “BCM” on “SELECT SYSTEM” screen.
If “BCM” is not indicated, go to GI-40, "
CONSULT-II Data Link
