LUBRICATION
To ensure smooth operation of all compo-
nents, lubricate your machine during setup,
after break-in, and after every ride.

areas.
ıUse SAE 10W-30 motor oil or suitable chain
lubricants.
ÇLubricate the following areas with high quality,
lightweight lithium-soap base grease.

REMOVAL POINTS
Rocker arm shaft
1. Remove:
Rocker arm shafts
NOTE:
Use a slide hammer bolt 1 and weight 2 to
slide out the rocker arm shafts.
Small slide hammer set:
YU-1083-A
Slide hammer bolt:

Weight:

Camshaft
1. Remove:
Camshaft 1
Camshaft bearing 2
NOTE:
Screw in a suitable length of 8 mm bolt 3 into
the threaded end of the camshaft and pull out
the camshaft.
INSPECTION
Camshaft
1. Inspect:
Cam lobes
Pitting/scratches/blue discoloration →
Replace.
2. Measure:
Cam lobes length a and b
Out of specification → Replace.
Cam lobes length limit:
Intake:
a 25.851 mm (1.0178 in)
b 21.165 mm (0.8333 in)
Exhaust:
a 25.811 mm (1.0162 in)
b 21.020 mm (0.8276 in)

CHASFRONT FORK
5. Install:
Oil seal 1
NOTE:
Apply the fork oil on the inner tube.
When installing the oil seal, use vinyl seat a
with fork oil applied to protect the oil seal lip.
Install the oil seal with its manufacturer's
marks or number facing upside.
Press the oil seal into the outer tube with fork
seal driver attachment (ø30) 2 and fork seal
driver weight 3.

Fork seal driver attachment:
YM-33281/90890-01400
New
6. Install:
Stopper ring 1
NOTE:
Fit the stopper ring correctly in the groove in
the outer tube.
7. Install:
Dust seal 1
NOTE:
Apply the lithium soap base grease on the
inner tube.
8. Check:
Inner tube smooth movement
Tightness/binding/rough spots →
Repeat the steps 2 to 7.
