Thesafetybeltsforthepassengerandrear
seatsareequippedwithanautomaticlockingre-
tractorforsecuringthechildrestraintsystem.
Whenactivated,thisretractorallowsyoutose-
curelyfastenthechildrestraintsysteminplace
sothatinadvertentmovementswillnotoccur.
Activatingtheautomaticlockingretractor
1.Pullthesafetybeltretractorcompletelyout.
Atthispointthelockingmechanismisacti-
vated.
2.Insertthesafetybelttongueintothebuckle
andmakecertainthatitisproperlylatched.
3.Allowthesafetybelttoretractuntilitistight
onthechildrestraintsystem.Youmayfur-
thertightenthebeltbypullingonittoallow
moreofittoretract.
Releasingthesafetybelt
1.Unbucklethesafetybeltlatch.
2.Thenmakecertainthatthebelthasfullyre-
tracted.
Atthispointtheautomaticlockingfeaturewill
bedisengaged.
ChildRestraintAnchorages
Pleasenotechapter"Automaticlockingretrac-
tor".
Ifyourchildrestraintseatorseatsrequirethe
useofatetherstrap,youwillwanttousethe
anchorpointsprovidedbehindtherearseat
backrestsunderthecarpet.
