The use of worn tires can be very dangerous because of the greater chance of skidding orhydroplaning. The tread depth of the tires mustexceed 1.6 mm (0.06 in.) in order for the tiresto meet the minimum requirement for use.If there are belt-line wear indicators on thetires, they will appear in six places on thesurface of the tire thereby indicating that thetire no longer meets the minimum requirementfor use.
