To adjust the headlight beam level according to
the number of the passengers and the loading weight in the cargo, turn the beam levelingswitch.
The higher the number of the switch position,
the lower the headlight beam level.
Always keep the headlight beam at the proper
leveling position, or headlights may dazzle oth-er road users. Listed chart is the examples of proper switch
settings.
For loading conditions other than those listed,
adjust the switch position so that the beam levelmay be the nearest as the condition obtainedaccording to the list.

narrower track to make them capable of performing in a wide variety of off roadapplications. Specific design characteristicsgive them a higher center of gravity thanordinary cars. An advantage of the higherground clearance is a better view of the roadallowing you to anticipate problems. Theyare not designed for cornering at the samespeeds as conventional 2-wheel drive vehi-cles any more than low-slung sports carsare designed to perform satisfactorily underoff-road conditions. If at all possible, avoidsharp turns or abrupt maneuvers. As withother vehicles of this type, failure to operatethis vehicle correctly may result in loss ofcontrol or vehicle rollover.

the protection of broken-down vehicles by switching on the hazard warning flashers,setting up a warning triangle flashing signallamp, etc., at an adequate distance from thevehicle.

10. Remove the chock from the wheel.
11. Place the wheel cap, and then tap the wheel cap edge with your hand.
12. The fault tire should be repaired and bal- anced as soon as possible.

vehicle" to select a jacking point near the flattire at which to position the jack, and thenraise the vehicle until the tire is slightly offthe ground. Remove the wheel nuts.
7. Clean away any mud, etc. on the hub sur- face or in the installation holes in the wheel, and then mount the spare tire.
8. With the tapered side of the wheel nuts facing toward the wheel (see illustration),screw the nuts onto the bolt and tighten allthe way by hand, to the extent that the wheelis not loose.
