Trip computer function This function allows inputting of the distance to the destination (whenguidance is not activated; otherwisethe information is given by the navi-gation) and also changing of the
units (¡C or ¡F, km and litres or milesand gallons). Diagnostics This function tells you the warnings, the quantity of emergency fuel andthe GPS cover present at the timeconsulted. Note: these alerts have previously
been displayed in the form of mes- sages and/or warning lights on thecontrol unit. There are 6 categories of diagnostics:
- engine diagnostics (warnings lin- ked to the engine and gearbox etc....),
- brake diagnostics,
- suspension diagnostics (warnings linked to the suspension, ESP etc....),
- wheel diagnostics (warnings linked to tyres),
- doors and windows diagnostics,
- passenger compartment diagnos- tics. Distance to destination When guidance is not activated, this enables an approximate value to beentered to make all the trip computercalculations possible.

To ensure best perfor- mance from components
as important as the power stee-ring and the braking system, PEUGEOT selects and offersquite specific products.
CHECKS Battery
At the start of winter, have your bat-
tery checked by a PEUGEOT dealer. Air filter and pollen filter Have the filter elements replaced
regularly. If you drive in dusty
conditions, change them twice asoften. Brake pads Brake pad wear depends on the style of driving, in particular forvehicles which are used in town, over short distances. It may benecessary to check the thickness ofthe pads, even between services. Handbrake Where the handbrake travel is too great or there is a reduction in theperformance of the system, thehandbrake should be adjusted, evenbetween services. Have the system checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer. Manual gearbox This does not need an oil change. Check the level, according to themanufacturer's servicing schedule. Automatic gearbox This does not need an oil change. Have the level checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer, according to themanufacturer's servicing schedule. Oil filter
Change the filter regularly, in accor- dance with the servicing schedule.
RUNNING OUT OF FUEL (DIESEL) If you should run out of fuel, it is necessary to re-prime the circuit:
