2) Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.
3) Drain coolant.

Main bearing clearance
Check clearance by using gaging plastic (1) according to the fol-
lowing procedure.
1) Remove crankcase.
2) Clean bearings and main journal

Fuel Lines
Due to the fact that fuel feed line is under high pressure, this sys-
tem requires special consideration for service.
The feed pipe uses screw couplings and hose clamps.
