(h) Install the sun visors and holders.
(i) Install the cowl louver.
(j) Install the weatherstrip.
(k) Install the front wiper arms.
Torque: 20 N·m (205 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf)

SLIDING ROOF
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING
(See page BO–23 , BO–28 or BO–33)
2. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF GLASS
(a) Using a torx wrench, remove the 4 screws.
(b) Pull the glass upward to remove it.
3. REMOVE DRIVE GEAR
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 2 screws and drive motor.
4. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF HOUSING
(a) Disconnect the 4 drain hoses from the housing.
(b) Remove the 8 bolts and 4 brackets.
(c) Remove the 2 bolts, 5 nuts and housing.

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF HOUSING
(a) Install the housing with the 2bolts and 5nuts.
(b) Install the 4 brackets with the 8 bolts.
(c) Connect the 4 drain hoses to the housing.
2. INSTALL DRIVE GEAR
(a) Install the drive motor with 2 screws.
(b) Connect the connector.
3. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF GLASS
(a) Push the glass upward to remove it.
(b) Install the 4 screws.

REMOVAL
1. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
(a) Remove the front door opening trims.
(b) w/ Curtain Shield Airbag:
(1) Using a screwdriver,raise the pillar garnish cover.
(2) Remove the bolt, pillar garnish cover and front pillar
garnish.
(3) Remove the 2 bolts.
(4) Pack the air bag with protection cover.
(c) Remove the front pillar garnishes.
(d) Remove the front door scuff plates.
(e) Remove the rear door opening trims.
(f) Remove the rear door scuff plates.
(g) Remove the center pillar lower garnishes.
(h) Remove the rear seat cushion.
2. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK
Remove the bolt and rear side seatback.
3. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH
(a) Remove the front seat outer belt shoulder anchor.
(b) Remove the screw and center pillar upper garnish.

4. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH
Remove the roof side inner garnish.
5. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
(a) Remove the assist grips.
(b) Remove the sun visors and holders.
(c) Remove the room light.
(d) Remove the map light.
(e) w/ Sliding Roof:
Remove the sliding roof opening trim.
6. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING
Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips and roof headlining.
7. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP CUSHION
8. w/ Curtain Shield Airbag:
REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG
(a) In the oder shown in the illustration, remove the bolts and
grommets, then, remove the deployment section of the
curtain shield airbag.
(b) Put the removed air bag in the clear plastic bag and put
it on the instrument panel.

INSTALLATION
1. w/ curtain shield airbag:
INSINSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG
In order shown in the illustration, install the deployment section
of the curtain shield airbag with the bolts and grommet.
Torque: 9.8 N·m (100 kgf·cm, 7 ft·lbf)
2. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP CUSHION
3. INSTALL ROOF HEAD LINING
Install the roof headlining with the 3 clips.
4. INSTALL THESE PARTS:
(a) w/ Sliding Roof:
Install the sliding roof opening trim.
(b) Install the map light.
(c) Install the room light.
(d) Install the sun visors and holders.
(e) Install the assist grips.
5. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH
6. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH
(a) Install the and center pillar upper garnish with the screw.
(b) Install the front seat outer belt shoulder anchor with the
bolt.
Torque: 42 N·m (430 kgf·cm, 31 ft·lbf)
7. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK
Install the rear side seatback with the bolt.
Torque: 21 N·m (214 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf)
8. INSTALL THESE PARTS:
(a) Install the rear seat cushion.
(b) Install the center pillar lower garnishes.
(c) Install the rear door scuff plates.
(d) Install the rear door opening trims.
(e) Install the front door scuff plates.

(f) w/ Curtain Shield Airbag:
(1) Remove the protection cover.
(2) Install the 2 bolts.
Torque: 5 N·m (51 kgf·cm, 44 in.·lbf)
(3) Install the front pillar garnish.
(4) Install the pillar garnish cover and bolt.
NOTICE:
Be sure to tighten the bolt.
(5) Fell the pillar garnish cover.
(g) Install the front pillar garnishes.
(h) Install the front door opening trims.
