7. Position LH rear footwell inte rmediate duct to rear duct.
Secure with suitable cloth tape.
8. Connect heater / cooler assembly electrical connector.
9. Install LH fan motor duct.
Install duct.
Install screws.
10. Install cable tie to secure console harness to LH blower duct.

Air Conditioning - Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor
Removal and Installation
Removal
1. Disconnect battery ground cable (IMPORTANT, see SRO
86.15.19 for further information).
2. Recover refrigerant from air co nditioning system; refer to
82.30.30.
3. Remove supercharger drive belt (where fitted); refer to
18.50.08.
4. Remove front end accessory dr ive belt; refer to 12.10.40 or
(SC) 12.10.40.
5. NOTE: A commercially availa ble brake pipe clamp is
recommended. Do not over tighten.
Clamp power steering reservoir to pump feed hose.
6. Raise vehicle for access
7. NOTE: Position drain tin to collect the fluid when union nut is
released.
Disconnect steering rack hose from pump. 1. Release union nut.
2. Discard O-ring.
3. Install suitable blanking plugs.
8. Disconnect clutch harness connector from compressor.
1. Disconnect connector.
9. Disconnect lines from compressor.
Discard O-rings.
Install suitable blanking plugs.

3. Install lines to compressor.
Install new O-ring seal and lubricate with clean
compressor oil.
4. Connect clutch harness connector to compressor.
1. Connect clutch connector.
5. Connect power steering hose to pump.
1. Remove blanking plugs.
2. Install new O-ring seal and lubricate with clean
compressor oil.
3. Tighten union nut.
6. Lower ramp.
7. Unclamp power steering rese rvoir to pump feed hose.

10. Disconnect radiator bottom hose.
1. Release hose retaining clip.
2. Disconnect hose.
11. Disconnect radiator top hose.
1. Release hose retaining clip.
2. Disconnect hose.
12. Disconnect connector from pressure switch.
13. Release radiator top retaining panel.
Remove bolts.

14. Disconnect compressor to condenser discharge line from
condenser.
1. Remove bolt.
2. Discard O-ring seal.
3. Install suitable blanking plugs.
15. Disconnect condenser to receiver / drier line from receiver /
drier.
1. Remove bolt.
2. Discard O-ring seal.
3. Install suitable blanking plugs.
16. Remove radiator retaining panel.
1. Remove panel.
2. Remove mounting bushes.
17. Disconnect hood switch harness connector.

Air Conditioning - Evaporator Core
Removal and Installation
Removal
1. Remove heater / cooler unit; refer to 82.25.21.
2. Remove air conditioning control module from heater / cooler
unit.
Slacken upper fixing.
Remove lower fixings.
3. Remove evaporator pipe firewall seal plate.
Remove screws.
Remove plate.
4. Disconnect heater matrix temperature sensor.
Detach heater matrix temperature sensor connector from
unit.
Disconnect connector.
5. Remove footwell servo motor from heater / cooler unit.
Disconnect connector.
Remove screws.
Remove motor complete with bracket.
6. Disconnect evaporator sensor connector.

Installation
Detach heater / cooler unit connector.
Detach evaporator sensor connector.
Disconnect connector.
7. Remove heater / cooler unit upper case from lower case.
Remove screw.
Remove 15 clips.
Remove upper case from lower case.
8. Remove evaporator from case.
Remove sensor and clip.
Remove evaporator.
1. Installation is the reverse of removal.

1. Remove pressure switch.
Disconnect connector.
• NOTE: Discard O-ring seal.
Remove switch.
1. NOTE: Clean mating faces, instal l new O-ring seal and lubricate with clean compressor oil.
Installation is a reversal of the removal procedure.
