a Clean all parts thoroughly ln solvent or carburetor cleaner, and dry with compressed air.
a Blow out all passages.
a Coat all parts with ATF before reassembly.

Torque Converter Housing Bearings
Mainshaft Bearing/Oil Seal Replacement
1. Remove the mainshaft bearing and oil seal using the
sDecial tools as shown.

2.Drive in the new mainshaft bearing until it bottoms
in the housing using the special tools as shown.
3.Install the new oil seal flush with the housing using
the soecial tools as shown.

NOTE: Check the ball bearings for wear and rough ro-
tation. lf bearings are OK, removal is not necessary.
'1. Remove the ball bearings using a standard bearing
puller and bearing separator as shown.

2.lnstall new ball bearings using the special tool as
shown.
NOTE: Drive the bearings squarely until they bot-
tom against the carrier.

Remove the differential assembly.
Remove the 80 mm shim from the transmission
housrng.

4. Remove the oil seal from the clutch housinq.
