4. Input your identification number by pressing the
(1,2) and (3) buttons repeatedly. Use the left side of
the
(1) button for the first digit, the right side of the
(2) button for the second digit and the left side of the
(3) button for the last digit. Pressing once will display
ª0,º so press each button once more than the number you
want to input. For example, if your number is 420, press the
(1) button five times, the (2) button three
times and the
(3) button once. If the display returns
to ª±±±º while inputting, try again.
We recommend that your identification number be
associated with something easy to remember. In case you
are unsure of the number, write it in a notebook you normally
carry. Do not leave it in your vehicle.
5. With your identification number appearing on the
display, press the
(SCAN) button and hold it until ªSECº
appears on the display. ªSECº will go off to indicate the
system is set. If invalid buttons have been used, ªErrº will
appear on the display before ªSECº appears. Try again from
step 3.
