Clutch Switch Circuit
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When the clutch pedal is depressed, the clutch switch sends a signal to the cruise control ECU, when this
signal is input to the cruise control ECU during cruise control driving, the cruise control ECU cancels cruise
control.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 Check operation of starter.
CHECK:
Check that the starter operates normally and that the engine starts.
NG Proceed to engine troubleshooting

CHECK:
(a) See input signal check on page DI−328.
(b) Check the indicator light when the clutch pedal is de-
pressed.
OK:
The indicator light goes off when the clutch pedal is
depressed.
OK Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on
matrix chart (See page DI−336).

3 Check voltage between terminal D of ECU connector and body ground.
PREPARATION:
Remove ECU with connectors still connected.
CHECK:
(a) Turn ignition switch ON.
(b) Measure voltage between terminal D of ECU connector
and body ground, when the clutch pedal is depressed.
OK:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The ECU power source supplies power to the actuator and sensors, etc., Terminal GND and the cruise con-
trol ECU case are grounded.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 Check ECU−IG fuse.
PREPARATION:
Remove ECU−IG fuse from fuse block.
CHECK:
Check continuity of ECU−IG fuse.
OK:
Continuity
NG Check for short in all the harness and compo-
nents connected to the ECU−IG fuse
(See attached wiring diagram).
OK
2 Check voltage between terminals B and GND of ECU connector.
PREPARATION:
Remove ECU with connectors still connected.
CHECK:
(a) Turn ignition switch ON.
(b) Measure voltage between terminals B and GND of ECU
connector.
OK:
Voltage: 10 − 16 V
OK Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on
matrix chart (See page DI−336).

Back−up Power Source Circuit
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The ECU back−up power source provides power even when the ignition switch is off and is used for DTC
memory, etc.

1 Check DOME fuse.
PREPARATION:
Remove DOME fuse from R/B No.2.
CHECK:
Check continuity of DOME fuse.
OK:
Continuity
NG Check for short in all the harness and
components connected to the DOME fuse
