astuttaessa saattaa jalka helposti vajota istuinten valiin . Teknisista syista ei ajoneuvoa tule ajaa istuimet makuualustaksi taitettuina.

& CAUTION Folding down the seat back all the way while the side seatback is still secured to it could damage the side
seatback.
To return the seat to the original position; press the lever (A) down and move the seat backward until it is securely locked.
Do not operate lever (A) except when making a bed or returning the seat to the original position.
Recline the seatback of third seat all the way back .
& CAUTION Do not walk around on top of the seats after they have been made into a bed. If you make a false step and your foot misses the seat. you could be injured; always move around carefully and step only in the middle of the seats.
For technical reasons. the vehicle should not be driven with bed.

Removal of headrestraints EG26B-A
To remove the head restraints, fully pull up the headrestraint with the height ad­justing knob pushed in_
To remount the head restraints, first con­
firm that they are facing the correct direction, and then insert them into the seatback while pressing the height­
adjusting knobs in the direction indi­cate d by the arrows. Confirm that the h eight-adjusti ng knobs are correct as shown in the illustration, and also pull up on the head restraints to confirm that they do not come out of the seatback.
& CAUTION (1) It is dangerous to drive with­out or badly adjusted headre­straints installed; always have them correctly mounted wh­en using the vehicle. (2) The headrestraints for the front and rear seats differ in
shape.
When installing head­restraints, be sure not to con­fuse the front and rear seat headrestraints. The headre­straints for the front seat are larger in both height and
thickness.

3-point type seat belt (with emergency locking
mechanism)
This type of belt requires no length adjustment. Once worn, the
belt adjusts itself to the movement of wearer, but in the event of a sudden or strong shock , the belt automatically locks to hold the wearer's body.
TO FASTEN
Insert the plate into the buckle until it snaps .
& CAUTION (1) Always position the lap por­tion of belt as low on the hip bones as possible.
(2) The seat belts must not be twisted when worn.
Pull the belt slightly to adjust looseness as desired.

(2) Holding a child in your arms is no substitute for a restraint system. Failure to use a proper restraint system can result in severe or fatal injury to your child.

For infants small enough for infants
seats, an infant carrier should be used.
For small children whose height when seated allows the shoulder belt to lie in contact with the face or the throat. a
child seat should be used . No more than
one restraint device or fixing to be used
by more than one child.

NOTE Before purchasing a child seat or infant carrier, try installing it in
the rear seat to assure a good fit Due to the location of the seat
belt buckles in the seat cushion, it may be difficult to securely
install some child restraint systems.
If the child restraint system can be pulled forward easily on the seat cusion after the belt has been tightened, choose another child restraint system.
Older children Children who have outgrown child restraint system should be
seated in the rear seat and wear combination lap shoulder belt The lap belt should be snug and positioned low on the abdomen so that it is below the top of the hip-bone . Otherwise,
the belt could intrude into the child's abdomen during an
accident and cause personal injury.
& CAUTION (1) Children who aren't buckled up can be thrown out of the vehicle in an accident,
(2) Children who aren't buckled up can strike other people who are.

1. Press the azimuth adjustment switch for one to two seconds, and the azimuth indication and scale will disappear and the direction-of­travel indicating dot will move one graduation at a time.

2. In this state, turn the vehicle slowly through 360° in a safe , open space with no vehicle or building around. This will automatically complete the adjustment, showing the correct az­imuth on the indicator. When there
is no appropriate space for turning the vehicle , give one turn to the
vehicle by steering clockwise and then anti -clockwise or vice versa. (Azimuth adjustment can be made by turning the vehicle either clock­wise or anti-clockwise.)
Declination adjustment In some areas, the north of the indicator (magnetic north) deviates from the north on the map owing to inclination of the earth's axis. This deviation angle is called declination, and declination between 20° west and 20° east can be adjusted in
increments of 5 °.
