112 % [FV08575(M )08/93]Using the Illuminated Entry System
[FV08600(M )08/93]
If your vehicle has this option, the interior lights
turn on when you lift the outside door handle
on either front door, or when you press
UNLOCK, TRUNK, or PANIC on a programmed
remote entry transmitter if your vehicle is
equipped with remote entry.
[FV08625(M )09/95]
These lights automatically turn off after 25
seconds or when you turn the ignition key to
ON or ACC. The inside lights will not turn off if
you have turned them on manually or if a door
is opened.

Battery Saver (With Remote Entry)
*
[FV08675(M )09/95]
When the ignition is turned off, the vehicle will
turn off battery voltage to the interior lights
after 45 minutes.
[FV08700(M )08/93]
This will prevent draining of the battery if those
lights have been left on inadvertently or if a
door is not completely closed. Battery voltage to
these lamps will be restored when the outside
front door handles are lifted, the Remote Entry
transmitter is used to unlock the doors, activate
the personal alarm or open the trunk, or the
ignition key is turned on again.

Replacing the batteries
*
[FV08750(MBC )02/95]
The remote entry transmitter is powered by two
coin type three-volt lithium 2016
batteries (included) that should last for several
years of normal use. If you notice a significant
decrease in operating range, the batteries should
be replaced. Replacement batteries can be
purchased at most pharmacies, watch stores or
at your Ford or Lincoln-Mercury dealer.
