When you put the cap back on, turn it to the right until
you hear a clicking noise.

Hood Release
NOTICE:
If you need a new cap, be sure to get the right
type. Your retailer can get one for you. If you get
the wrong type, it may not fit or have proper
venting, and your fuel tank and emissions system
might be damaged.

To open the hood, first pull the hood release handle
inside the vehicle.

Go to the front of the vehicle and pull up on the outside
hood release.
Lift the hood. The
hood prop rod may be hot due to increased engine
temperatures under the hood,
so be careful when
handling it. Use your hood prop sleeve when handling
the prop.
Pull forward on the hood prop to release it from its
storage clip. Put the end
of the hood prop into the slot in
the underside of the hood.
