Front Seats
Manual Front Seat

You can lose control of the vehicle if you try to adjust a manual
driver’s seat while the vehicle is moving. The sudden moveme\
nt
could startle and confuse you, or make you push a pedal when you
don’t want to. Adjust the driver’s seat only when the vehicle is not
moving.

Slide the lever at the front of the seat toward your door to unlock it. Slide
the seat
to where you want it. Then release the lever and try to move the
seat with your body,
to make sure the seat is locked into place.

Don’t have a seatback reclined if your vehicle is moving.

Ir Sitting in a reclined positiin when your vehicle is in motion can. be
4 dangerous. Even if you buckle up, your safety belts can’t do their job
when you’re reclined like this.
The shoulder belt can’t do its job because it won’t be against your
body. Instead, it
will be in front of you. In a crash you could go into
it, receiving neck or other injuries.
The lap belt can’t do its job either. In a crash the belt could go up
ov0f your abdomen. The belt forces would be there, not at your
petvic bones. This could cause serious internal injuries,
For proper protection when the vehicle is in motion, have the seat-
back
upright. Then sit well back in the seat and wear your safety
belt properly.

If you have a Four Door Model, your front seatback is designe\
d not to fold
forward. Access to the rear of the cab is available by using the rear doors.
There’s one time the seatback may not fold without some help from you.
That’s
if your vehicle is parked going down a fairly steep hill. If this happens,
push the seatback toward the rear as you
lift this latch. Then the seatback
will fold forward. The latch must be down for the seat to work properly.
Seatback Latches (Bench Seat With Armrest)

The front seatback folds forward to let you access the rear of the cab.
If you have a Four Door
Model, your front seatback is designed not to fold
forward. Access
to the rear of the cab is available by using the rear doors.
To fold a seatback forward, pull this lever up and fold the seat\
back forward.
To return the seatback to the upright position, just push the seatback
rearward until it latches.
After returning the seatback
to its upright position, pull the seatback forward
to make sure it is locked.
1 CAUTION
If the seatback isn’t locked, it could move forward in a sudden stop
or crash. That could cause injury to the person sitting there. Always
press rearward
on the seatback to be sure 1 it is locked.

Seatback Latches (Reclining Split Bench and
Reclining Bucket Seats)

The front seatback folds forward to let you access the rear of the cab.
To fold the seatback forward, lift this lever. If your vehicle has a passenger
side easy entry seat, your seatback lever will be slightly lar\
ger, but will work
the same way. Lift the front of the lever and the seatback will fold forward.
To return the seatback to the upright position, just push the sea\
tback
rearward until
it latches.
After returning the seatback to its upright position, pull the seatback forward
to make sure
it is locked.
A If the seatback isn’t locked, it could move forward in a sudden stop
b or crash. That could cause injury to the person sitting there. Always

Easy Entry Seat (Extended Cab Only)

The right front bucket seat or the right side of the 40/60 split bench seat of
your vehicle has an easy entry feature. This makes it easy to\
get in and out
of the rear seat.
To operate the seat push down on the rear
of the lever, located at the side
of the seat. When
you do, the seatback will move fully forward and the seat
bottom will release. Just pull or push the seat forward until \
it stops.
To return the seat to its regular position, return the seatback t\
o its upright
position, then push the whole seat rearward until it latches.
After returning the seat to its regular position, try to move \
the seat with your body, to make sure the seat is locked into place.
If an easy entry right front seat isn’t locked, it can move. In a
sudden stop or crash, the person sitting there could be injured. Aft€-
you’ve used it, be sure to push rearward on an easy entry seat tn
be sure it is locked.

Rear Seats
Rear Folding Seat (Extended Cab Models)

The extended cab may have a rear folding seat which can be f\
olded down
for more seating space.
To use the seat, pull the entire seat forward until it is flat. Pull forward on
the,
RELEASE lever, under the right-hand side of the seat cushion. Push the\

seatback rearward until it latches.
After pushing the seatback upright into position, pull the seat\
back forward to
make sure it is locked.
Rear Seat (Four Door Models)
You can adjust the seat by sliding the adjuster lever at the fron\
t of the seat
toward the 'door to unlock
it. Slide the seat to where yau want it. Then
release the lever and
try to move the seat with your body, to make sure the
seat is locked into place.
