When the engine starts for the first time onyour drive, the idle speed increases, thishelps to warm up the engine. If the engineidle speed does not slow down, have yourvehicle checked by an authorized dealer.
The system does not function if:
•The passive key frequencies are jammed.
•The key battery has no charge.
RESTARTING THE ENGINE AFTERSTOPPING IT
The system allows you to start the enginewithin 10 seconds of switching it off, even ifit does not detect a valid passive key.
Within 10 seconds of switching the engineoff, fully press the brake pedal and press thepush button ignition switch. After 10 seconds, you can no longer start the engine if thesystem does not detect a valid passive key.
When you start the engine, it remains runninguntil you press the push button ignitionswitch, even if your vehicle does not detecta valid passive key. If you open and close adoor when the engine is running, the systemsearches for a valid passive key.

BLIND SPOT ASSIST
WHAT IS BLIND SPOT ASSIST
Blind spot assist is an extension of the lanekeeping system.
It may help you identify adjacent vehiclesduring a lane change.
Blind spot assist provides a blind spotwarning and steering assistance to helpduring lane changes.
HOW DOES BLIND SPOT ASSISTWORK
Activate and deactivate the systemusing the lane keeping systembutton on the steering wheel.
During lane changes, the design of the blindspot assist feature detects vehicles in, orapproaching, your blind spot and providesa warning, plus steering assistance to directyour vehicle back into your lane.
When active, this system functions with orwithout the use of direction indicators andhazard flashers.
You must keep your hands on the steeringwheel at all times.
BLIND SPOT ASSIST LIMITATIONS
All system limitations present in the basiclane keeping system also apply to blind spotassist.
Blind spot assist does not function under thefollowing conditions:
•The system does not detect lanemarkings.
•One or both rear radar sensors becomeblocked or faulty.
•You attach a trailer with a wiringconnection to your vehicle.
Note:Blind spot assist may have reducedperformance if you attach a trailer to yourvehicle without a wiring connection.
Blind spot assist may have difficulty detectinghazards under the following conditions:
•If a vehicle is approaching in an adjacentlane at a relative speed much higher thanyour vehicle.
•Bad weather conditions are present thatobstruct the sensors.
