To enter the User Settings mode in the LCD Instrument Cluster Modes, ensure that the vehicle is at a standstill, put the shift lever in Park, and place the Engine Start/Stop button or Key in the ON position Then press the Mode button A and select User Settings

Rear View Monitor is a supplemental system that displays the view behind the vehicle while the vehicle is in Reverse
Rear View Monitor activates when the:
•Engine Start/Stop button is in the ON/READY position
•Gear Shift Lever is in the R (Reverse) position

When engaged, SEW is not a substitute for one’s at tention and may not detect all objects surrounding the vehicle Always pay at tention to traf fic and to the area around your vehicle when exiting the vehicle Refer to section 4 in the Owner ’s Manual for more information
Safe Exit Warning (SEW)†3
Safe Exit Warning (SEW) can help prevent passengers from opening their door by displaying a warning message on the Instrument Cluster and sounding an audible warning when a vehicle is detected, approaching from behind, and after your vehicle has stopped
SEW Settings:
•SEW can be turned on/off by going to the User Settings* in the Instrument Cluster or the Vehicle Settings* in the Infotainment System
•Only adjust settings when the vehicle is at a standstill, gear shift is in Park and the ignition is on or the Engine Start/Stop button* in the on position
•To access User settings* in the Instrument Cluster - Press the Mode button A on the Steering Wheel to toggle to User Settings Press the OK button B up/down to toggle to Driver Assistance, then Exit Safety
•To access Vehicle settings* in the Infotainment System – Press the SETUP key or the onscreen SETUP button Press VEHICLE to enter Vehicle Settings Select Driver Assistance, Driving Safety, then Exit Safety

REMINDERS: When the outside rear view mirror but tons are not depressed, the Reverse Parking Aid Function will not operate and the outside rear view mirrors will not rotate downward

In an emergency situation while the vehicle is in motion, you are able to turn the engine off and to the ACC position by pressing the ENGINE START/STOP but ton for more than 2 seconds or 3 times successively within 3 seconds
•
If the Smar t Key bat ter y is weak or not working properly, hold the Smar t Key fob up to the ENGINE START/STOP but ton (Lock but ton side closest) and press the but ton to star t the engine
•
With the engine off, hydraulic power assist for steering and braking will be disabled and the vehicle will be more dif ficult to control
To start the engine:
•Depress the brake pedal
•
Press the ENGINE START/STOP button while gear shift is in P (Park)
•To turn the vehicle OFF, press the

•The smar tphone and vehicle need to be connected to a cellular net work with good wireless signal strength in order to use Kia Connect If these conditions are not met, remote command may not execute or takes long time It will also effect voice commands

To use Remote Star t or Remote Star t with Climate Control feature, all doors, hood and trunk/liftgate must be closed and locked
•When Remote Star t is activated, if the driver does not enter the vehicle within 10 minutes, the Remote Star t will turn the engine off
•When using Remote Star t with Climate Control, turn on for at least a few minutes before get ting into the vehicle, allowing the vehicle interior to reach your desired temperature
