
2.Inspect and clean debris from the rockrail at the running board bolt mountingnuts and keyhole slots.
WARNING: If the rock rail orrunning board mounting nuts in the rockrail appear to be damaged, do not installthe running board. Failure to follow thisinstruction could result in personal injury.
3.Locate the tool pouch and remove thehex tool and the running boardmounting bolts.
4.Grab the running board for theappropriate side near the front and rearof the running board.
5.Align the temporary support pins onthe front and middle mounting tabs tothe larger opening of the keyhole slotson the rock rail.
6.Tilt the running board up or down sothat the running board mounting tabsare even with the surface of the rockrail.
7.Move the running board toward thevehicle so that the mounting tabs areflat against the rock rail and thetemporary support pins go through thelarger opening in the keyhole slots.
8.Slide the running board to the rear ofthe vehicle and down to engage thetemporary support pins on the runningboard into the narrow part of keyholeslot on the rock rail.
9.Make sure that both the front andmiddle mounting tab temporarysupport pins have engaged the keyholeslot before letting go of running board.
Note:Mounting nuts in the rock rail shouldbe fully visible through running boardmounting tab holes.
10.Install one of the running board boltsinto the rear upper hole on the rearmounting tab of the running board.This ensures all the other mountingtab holes line up.
11.Use the hex tool to tighten the bolt.
WARNING: If all running board tabsdo not sit flush against the rock rail, donot install the running board. It could bean indication that the rock rail has beendamaged. Installation of the remainingbolts could damage running board,mounting brackets, or cause furtherdamage to rock rail. Failure to follow thisinstruction could result in personal injury.

12.To make sure the temporarymounting pins are properly engagedwith the rock rail, the three runningboard tabs must be flush against therock rail.
13.Install a bolt on the remaining hole inthe rear running board mounting taband two bolts each on the middle andfront running board mounting tabs.
14.Use the hex tool to tighten the bolts.
Note:We recommend that you use a torquewrench to make sure you tighten all thebolts to the required 20 lb.ft (27 Nm)specification.
15.To install the additional runningboard, repeat Steps 1-14 for theopposite side
16.Return the hex tool to the tool pouchand secure it in the vehicle.

WARNING: Do not store thebumper end-caps in the vehicle.Unsecured end-caps could become aprojectile in a sudden stop or crash.
Note:Front bumper end caps are not ratedfor rock crawl use or off-road conditionswhere ground contact is likely to occur. Werecommend removing the end caps beforeuse on roads under these conditions to avoiddamage.
Removing the Front Bumper EndCap
1.Park your vehicle on level ground andmake sure the transmission is in park(P) and the engine is off.
2.Locate the 17 reusable pushpins on thecenter front bumper cover.
3.Use a suitable tool, such as a flat bladescrewdriver in the 0.10 in (2.5 mm)space between the head of the pushpinand the body of the pushpin to pry outthe head away from the body torelease the locking mechanism.

17.From behind the bumper, hand startthe lamp bolt at the top center of thelamp housing.
Note:Do not tighten or torque the bolt.
18.Using the hex tool, tighten the fourbolts installed in Step 15. Thentighten the bolt loosened in Step 12.Lastly, tighten the bolt installed inStep 17.
Note:We recommend that you use a torquewrench to make sure that you tighten all thebolts to 16 lb.ft (22 Nm).
19.Insert the vehicle-side lamp wiringconnector onto the lamp plugattached to the lamp housing andpush together until you feel it clicktogether.
Note:Make sure you do not press therelease tab on the lamp connector whenpushing the connectors together, this wayyou can feel them click together.
Note:The lamp-side wiring connector isattached to the lamp housing and does notneed to be removed to perform this step.
20.To install the additional front bumpercap, repeat Steps 8-19 on theopposite side.
21.Reinstall the center front bumpercover in the original location.
22.Install the 17 pushpins removed inSteps 2-6. Do not press the pushpinheads in until all pushpins are inplace.
23.Lock the pushpins in place by pushingthe head in until it stops.
Note:There should be a gap of about0.10 in(2.5 mm) between the head and body ofthe pushpin.
24.Return the hex tool to the tool pouchwith the docking plug protective capsand lamp bolts, and then secure thetool pouch in the vehicle.

3.Zip the bag closed.
4.Gently slide the roof panel bag into thecargo area.

4.Zip the bag fully closed and gentlyplace the door in the cargo area. Avoidcontacting the rear pillars, speakers,striker, and trim.
5.Slide the door into position with thebag label facing rearward. Center thedoor to make sure there is spacebetween the door and cargo box trimpanels.
6.Push the lower edge of the doorforward until it stops to create spacefor the door peak.
7.Secure the door bag to the retentionharness with the clip.
8.Repeat Steps 3-5 for the driver sidefront door. Secure the bags using theclips on the bags.
9.Place the front roof panels in the bag,and then into the cargo area. SeeStoring the Doors and the RoofPanels (page 407).
Note:Do not use the roof bag retentionsystem in this orientation. Secure the roofpanels by the harness.
10.Lift the retention harness over thedoors. Make sure the straps arestraight.
11.Secure the upper straps 5 and 6 tothe eyelet bolts and lower straps 7and 8 to the rear cargo rings.
12.Tighten all adjustable straps tosecure the doors and roof panels.
Note:The doors and roof panels should notmove when you apply pressure.
STORING THE ROOF PANELS

It is recommended to wash your vehicle byhand however, pressure washing may beused under the following conditions:
•Use a spray with a 40° wide sprayangle pattern.
•Keep the nozzle at a 12 in (305 mm)distance and 90° angle to yourvehicle's surface.
•Do not use water pressure higher than2,000 psi (14,000 kPa).
•Do not use water hotter than 179°F(82°C).
