2.5. Modalities for exercising data subject’s rights
2.5.1.
The data subject (the vehicle’s owner) has a right
of access to data and as appropriate to request
the rectification, erasure or blocking of data, con-
cerning him or her, the processing of which does
not comply with the provisions of Directive
95/46/EC or Regulation (EU) 2016/679. Any third
parties to whom the data have been disclosed
have to be notified of such rectification, erasure
or blocking carried out in compliance with this
Directive, unless it proves impossible or involves
a disproportionate effort.

considers that his or her rights have been
infringed as a result of the processing of his or

NOTICE
●The stereo camera lenses are pre-
cision components. Always observe
the following precautions espe- cially when handling them.
• Never touch the stereo camera
lenses, and do not attempt to wipe or clean the lenses. Doing so could
damage or soil the lens, and lead to
improper system performance. If
you ever touch a lens for any rea- son, be sure to contact any author-
ized Toyota retailer or Toyota
authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer capable of EyeSight ser-
vice. Replacement and service
works of EyeSight components will be necessary.
• When cleaning the windshield, cover the front of the camera casing
with paper that does not collect
dust, such as copy paper. Affix the paper to prevent glass cleaner from
getting on the camera lenses. At
this point, make sure that the tape’s adhesive surface does not come in
contact with the windshield or the
lens. Be sure to remove the paper after cleaning.
• When having the inside of wind- shield cleaned at a service station,
etc., be sure to request that the
attendant covers the camera covers before washing the vehicle.
• Do not subject the stereo camera to a strong impact.
• Do not remove or disassemble the stereo camera.
• Do not change the positions where the stereo camera is installed or
modify any of the surrounding
structures.
●In case of replacement or repair, to
continue to use EyeSight function- ality, do not install an interior rear-
view mirror other than a genuine
Toyota interior rearview mirror or a third party interior rearview mirror
that matches the size (and contour)
of genuine Toyota interior rearview mirrors. A wider interior rearview
mirror can affect the stereo cam-
era’s field of view and EyeSight functionality may not operate prop-
erly. Toyota and Toyota dealer(s)
are not liable for any damage that may be caused by the use of parts
other than genuine Toyota parts.
Stereo camera
●Do not install any accessories other than the ones designated by Toyota
on the prohibited areas shown in
the illustrations (grey zones). Even if some accessories are
installed on the outside of the pro-
hibited areas, abnormal operation of EyeSight may occur due to the
reflection of the light or any objects.
In this situation, move the accesso- ries. For details, contact any author-
ized Toyota retailer or Toyota
authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer.

EyeSight includes the following
functions.
■Pre-Collision Braking System
This function uses a following dis-
tance warning feature to warn the
driver to take evasive action when
there is the possibility of a collision
with a vehicle, pedestrian or obsta-
cle in front of you. If the driver does
not take evasive ac tion, the brakes
are applied automatically to help
reduce vehicle co llision damage or,
if possible, help prevent a collision.
NOTICE
●Make sure that the stereo camera's
field of view is not interfered.
Obstructing the stereo camera’s view may impair the system opera-
tion. For details, contact any author-
ized Toyota retailer or Toyota authorized repairer, or any reliable
repairer.
●Keep the windshield (outside and inside) clean at all times. When the
windshield has become fogged, or
it has a dirt or an oil film on it, the stereo camera may not detect
objects accurately and the EyeSight
system may not oper ate correctly. Never mount any device to the
center air vent, as any airflow
change may impact EyeSight per- formance.
●Do not place any stickers or acces-sories on the windshield (outside or
inside). If you have to do so (for
example, legally required or elec- tronic toll tag), avoid the area
directly in front of the camera. Oth-
erwise, it may adversely affect the field of view of the stereo camera
and can cause improper operation
of the system. For details, contact any authorized Toyota retailer or
Toyota authorized repairer, or any
reliable repairer.
●Do not use any glass coating
agents or similar substances on the windshield. Doing so may interfere
with the proper operation of the sys-
tem.
●Do not install any film or an addi-
tional layer of glass on the wind- shield. The system may not operate
correctly.
●If there are scratches or cracks on
the windshield, contact any author-
ized Toyota retailer or Toyota authorized repairer, or any reliable
repairer.
●To have the windshield replaced or repaired, it is recommended con-
tacting any authorized Toyota
retailer or Toyota authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer.
In case of replacement or repair, to
continue to use EyeSight function- ality, do not install a windshield
other than a genuine Toyota wind-
shield or a third party windshield that matches the quality of genuine
Toyota windshields.
Inferior parts can prevent the stereo camera from being able to detect
objects accurately, and the Eye-
Sight system may not operate prop- erly. Toyota and Toyota dealer(s)
are not liable for any damage that
may be caused by the use of parts other than genuine Toyota parts.
In order to continue to use EyeSight
functionality, stereo camera adjust- ment is necessary when a wind-
shield is reinstalled or replaced. For
further details concerning stereo camera adjustment, it is recom-
mended contacting any authorized
Toyota retailer or Toyota authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer
capable of EyeSight service.

●Steep downhill grades
• The set vehicle speed may be
exceeded.
●On a steep continuous downhill
grade
• The brakes may overheat.
●Roads and overpasses with
repeated steep uphill and downhill grades
• Detection of the vehicle in front may
be lost, or the road surface may be detected instead of the vehicle in
front, making correct control impos-
sible.
●Entering a sharp curve/turn into an
interchange or junction, or a service area, parking area, toll booth or
other facilities
• Detection of the vehicle in front may not be possible.
●There are changes in brightness, such as at a tunnel entrance or exit.
●Visibility is poor due to sand, smoke or water vapor blowing in the wind,
or the front vision is obscured due
to water splashes, snow, dirt, water spray from road sprinklers or snow
clearing sprinklers on the road, or
dust stir up generated by the vehi- cle in front or oncoming traffic.
• Detection of the vehicle in front may
be lost, or water or other sub- stances may be incorrectly
detected instead, making correct
control impossible.
●In adverse weather, such as heavy snow or snowstorms

Use fluids that are appropriate to
the prevailing out side tempera-
tures.

Have a service technician
inspect the condition of the bat-
tery.
Have the vehicle fitted with four
snow tires or purchase a set of
tire chains for the rear tires.
Make sure to install 4 tires that are of
the specified size, and that all 4 tires
are the same size, same maker, same
brand and tread pattern. Also, make
sure to use tire chains that match the
size of the tires.
Winter driving tips
Carry out the necessary prepa-
rations and inspections before
driving the vehicle in winter.
Always drive the vehicle in a
manner appropriate to the pre-
vailing weather conditions.

■Driving with snow tires
Observe the following precautions to
reduce the risk of accidents.
Failure to do so may result in a loss of vehicle control and cause death or
serious injury.
●Use tires of the specified size, and that are the same size, same
maker, same brand and tread pat-
tern.
●Maintain the recommended level of
air pressure.
●Do not drive at speeds in excess of
the speed limit or the speed limit specified for the snow tires being
used.
●Use snow tires on a ll, not just some
wheels.
■Driving with tire chains
●When any of the tires are punc-
tured, you can seal the tire tempo- rarily. However, do not use the tire
chain on a sealed tire. If any of the
rear tires are punctured although it is required to use tire chains, con-
tact any authorized Toyota dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional.
●Observe the following precautions to reduce the risk of accidents.
Failure to do so may result in the
vehicle being unable to be driven safely, and may cause death or
serious injury.
• Do not drive in excess of the speed limit specified for the tire chains
being used, or 30 km/h (19 mph),
whichever is lower.
• Avoid driving on bumpy road sur-
faces or over potholes.
• Avoid sudden acceleration, abrupt
steering, sudden braking and shift- ing operations that cause sudden
engine braking.
• Slow down sufficiently before enter- ing a curve to ensure that vehicle
control is maintained.

■Where to go for maintenance ser-
vice?
In order to maintain your vehicle in the best possible condition, Toyota recom-
mends that maintenance service opera-
tions as well as other inspections and repairs be carried out by authorized
Toyota retailers or Toyota authorized
repairers, or any reliable repairers. For repairs and services covered by your
warranty, please visit an authorized
Toyota retailer or repairer, who will use genuine Toyota parts in repairing any
difficulties you may encounter. There
can also be advantages in utilizing authorized Toyota retailers or repairers
for non-warranty repairs and services,
as members of the Toyota network will be able to expertly assist you with any
difficulties you may encounter.
Your Toyota retailer or Toyota authorized
repairer, or any reliable repairer will per- form all of the scheduled maintenance
on your vehicle reliably and economi-
cally due to their experience with Toyota vehicles.
Scheduled maintenance should be
performed at specified intervals
according to the maintenance
schedule.
For full details of your maintenance
schedule, refer to the “Toyota Service
Booklet” or “Toyota Warranty Booklet”.
What about do-it-yourself mainte-
nance?
Many of the maintenance items are
easy to do yourself if you have a little
mechanical ability and a few basic
automotive tools.
Note, however, that some maintenance
tasks require special tools and skills.
These are best performed by qualified
technicians. Even if you're an experi-
enced do-it-yourself mechanic, we rec-
ommend that repairs and maintenance
be conducted by any authorized Toyota
retailer or Toyota authorized repairer, or
any reliable repairer. Any authorized
Toyota retailer or repairer will keep a
record of maintenance, which could be
useful should you ever require War-
ranty Service. Should you choose to
select a qualified and equipped profes-
sional other than an authorized Toyota
repairer to service or maintain your
vehicle, we recommend that you
