Example
High beam assist operations:
To activate the high beam assist system,
turn the headlight switch to the AUTO
position
(orposition, depending on
the model) and push the lever forward
(high beam position). The high beam
assist indicator light in the meter will
illuminate while the headlights are turned
on.
If the high beam assist indicator light
does not illuminate in the above condi-
tion, it may indicate that the system is not
functioning properly. Have the system
checked by a NISSAN dealer.
When the vehicle speed lowers to less than approximately 16 MPH (25 km/h), the
headlight remains the low beam.
To turn off the high beam assist system,
turn the headlight switch to the
position or select the low beam position
by placing the lever in the neutral posi-
tion.

Ambient image sensor maintenance:
The ambient image sensor
for the high
beam assist system is located as shown.
To keep the proper operation of the high
beam assist system and prevent a system
malfunction, be sure to observe the
following:
. Always keep the windshield clean.
. Do not attach a sticker (including
transparent material) or install an
accessory near the ambient image
sensor.
. Do not strike or damage the areas
around the ambient image sensor. Do
not touch the sensor lens that is
located on the ambient image sensor.

If the ambient image sensor is damaged
due to an accident, contact a NISSAN
dealer.
Battery saver system
A chime will sound when the driver side
door is opened with the headlight switch
in the
orposition and the ignition
switch in the OFF or LOCK position.
When the headlight switch is in the
orposition while the ignition switch is in
the ON position, the lights will automati-
cally turn off after a period of time when
the ignition switch has been pushed to
the OFF position.
When the headlight switch remains in the
orposition after the lights auto-
matically turn off, the lights will turn on
when the ignition switch is pushed to the
ON position.
CAUTION
. When you turn on the headlight
switch again after the lights auto-
matically turn off, the lights will
not turn off automatically. Be
sure to turn the headlight switch
to the OFF (if so equipped) or the
AUTO position when you leave
the vehicle for extended periods of time, otherwise the battery will
be discharged.
. Never leave the headlight switch
on when the engine is not run-
ning for extended periods of time
even if the headlights turn off
automatically.
Daytime Running Light (DRL) sys-
tem
The LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL)
automatically illuminate when the engine
is started and the parking brake is
released. The LED DRL operate with the
headlight switch in the OFF (if so
equipped),
, or AUTO (when the head-
lights are off) position. When you turn the
headlight switch to the
position for
full illumination, the LED lights switch
from LED DRL to the park function.
Type A (if so equipped): If the parking
brake is applied before the engine is
started, the LED DRL do not illuminate.
The LED DRL illuminate when the parking
brake is released. This feature will work in
the
, AUTO or OFF position. The LED
DRL will remain on until the ignition
switch is placed in the OFF position.
Type B (if so equipped): If the parking
brake is applied before the engine is
started, the LED DRL do not illuminate. The LED DRL illuminate when the parking
brake is released. This feature will work in
the AUTO or
position. The LED DRL
will remain on until the ignition switch is
placed in the OFF position.
WARNING
When the LED DRL system is active
with the headlight switch in the OFF
position (if so equipped), tail lights
on your vehicle are not on. It is
necessary at dusk to turn on your
headlights. Failure to do so could
cause an accident injuring yourself
and others.

INSTRUMENT BRIGHTNESS CON-
TROL
The instrument brightness control switch
(upperand lower) can be operated
when the ignition switch is in the ON
position.

When the instrument brightness control
switch is operated, the vehicle informa-
tion display switches to the brightness
adjustment mode.
Push the upper switch
to brighten the
meter panel lights and instrument panel
lights.
Push the lower switch
to dim the lights.
If the bar reaches the maximum or
minimum brightness, a chime will sound.
The vehicle information display returns to
the normal display when the instrument
brightness control switch is not operated
for more than 5 seconds.

Example
TURN SIGNAL SWITCH
Turn signal
Move the lever up or down to signal the
turning direction. When the turn is com-
pleted, the turn signals cancel automati-
cally.
Lane change signal
. Move the lever up or down until the
turn signal begins to flash, but the
lever does not latch, to signal a lane
change. Hold the lever until the lane
change is completed.
. Move the lever up or down until the
turn signal begins to flash, but the

lever does not latch, and release the
lever. The turn signal will automati-
cally flash three times.
Choose the appropriate method to signal
a lane change based on road and traffic
conditions.

Example
FOG LIGHT SWITCH (if so equipped)
To turn the fog lights on, turn the head-
light switch to theposition, then turn
the switch to theposition. To turn
them off, turn the switch to the OFF
position.
The headlights must be on with the low
beams selected for the fog lights to
operate. The fog lights automatically turn
off when the high beam headlights are
selected.
SIC4401
The heated steering wheel system is
designed to operate only when the sur-
face temperature of the steering wheel is
below 68°F (20°C).
Push the heated steering wheel switch to
warm the steering wheel after the engine
starts. The indicator light
on the switch
will illuminate.
If the surface temperature of the steering
wheel is below 68°F (20°C), the system will
heat the steering wheel and cycle off and
on to maintain a temperature above 68°F
(20°C). The indicator light will remain on
as long as the system is on.
Push the switch again to turn the heated
steering wheel system off manually. The
HEATED STEERING WHEEL (if so equipped)

indicator light will turn off.
NOTE:
If the surface temperature of the steer-
ing wheel is above 68°F (20°C) when the
switch is turned on, the system will not
heat the steering wheel. This is not a
malfunction.

To sound the horn, push the center pad
area of the steering wheel.
WARNING
Do not disassemble the horn. Doing
so could affect proper operation of
the supplemental front air bag sys-
tem. Tampering with the supple-
mental front air bag system may
result in serious personal injury.
WARNING
Do not use or allow occupants to use
the seat heater if you or the occu-
pants cannot monitor elevated seat
temperatures or have an inability to
feel pain in body parts that contact
the seat. Use of the seat heater by
such people could result in serious
injury.
CAUTION
.The battery could run down if the
seat heater is operated while the
engine is not running.
. Do not use the seat heater for
extended periods or when no one
is using the seat.
. Do not put anything on the seat
which insulates heat, such as a
blanket, cushion, seat cover, etc.
Otherwise, the seat may become
overheated.
. Do not place anything hard or
heavy on the seat or pierce it with
a pin or similar object. This may
result in damage to the heater.

.Any liquid spilled on the heated
seat should be removed immedi-
ately with a dry cloth.
. When cleaning the seat, never use
gasoline, thinner, or any similar
materials.
. If any malfunctions are found or
the heated seat does not operate,
turn the switch off and have the
system checked. It is recom-
mended you visit a NISSAN dealer
for this service.

FRONT (if so equipped)
The front seats can be warmed by built-in
heaters. The switches located on the
instrument panel can be operated inde-
pendently of each other.
1. Start the engine.
2. Push the heated seat switch and
select the desired heat range.
.For high heat, push the switch once..For medium heat, push the switch
twice.
.For low heat, push the switch threetimes.
.The indicator lighton the switch
will illuminate depending on the
heat level when the heater is on. 3. To turn off the heater, push the
heated seat switch until the indicator
light turns off.
The heater is controlled by a control
module, automatically adjusting the
heat level to maintain comfort accord-
ing to the selected heat range.
The indicator light will remain on as
long as the switch is on.
When the vehicle’s interior is warmed,
or before you leave the vehicle, be
sure to turn off the seat heater.

SIC2770
REAR (if so equipped)
The 2nd row outboard seats are warmed
by built-in heaters. The switches located
on the back side of the center console
can be operated independently of each
other.
1. Start the engine.
2. Select heat range.
For high heat, push the HI (High)
side of the switch.
For low heat, push the LO (Low) side
of the switch.
The indicator light in the switch
will
illuminate when the heater is on. 3. To turn off the heater, return the
switch to the level position. Make sure
the indicator light turns off.
The heater is controlled by a thermo-
stat, automatically turning the heater
on and off. The indicator light will
remain on as long as the switch is on.
When the vehicle’s interior is warmed,
or before you leave the vehicle, be
sure to turn off the switch.

The climate controlled seat cools down
the front seats by blowing cool air from
the surface of the seat. The switches
located on the instrument panel can be
operated independently of each other.
1. Start the engine.
2. Push the climate controlled seatswitch to cool the seat. The indicator
light
on the corresponding switch
will illuminate depending on the cool
level.
3. Adjust the desired amount of air by pushing the switch again. The climate
controlled seat blower remains on low
speed for approximately 60 seconds
after pushing the switch on.

4. When the vehicle’s interior is warmedor cooled, or before you leave the
vehicle, be sure to turn off the climate
controlled seats. To turn off the cli-
mate controlled seats, push the
switch until the indicator light turns
off.
To check the air filters for the climate
controlled seat, it is recommended
you visit a NISSAN dealer.
WARNING
Do not use or allow occupants to use
the climate controlled seats if you or
the occupants cannot monitor seat
temperatures or have an inability to
feel pain in those body parts in
contact with the seat. Use of the
climate controlled seats by such
people could result in serious injury.
CAUTION
.The battery could run down if the
climate controlled seat is oper-
ated while the engine is not run-
ning. .

not operate, turn the switch off
and have the system checked. It
is recommended you visit a
NISSAN dealer for this service.

The warning systems switch is used to
turn on and off the warning systems
(Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Blind
Spot Warning (BSW) systems) that are
activated using the “Driver Assistance”
menu displayed in the vehicle information
display. (See “Driver Assistance” (P.2-22).)
When the warning systems switch is
turned off, the indicator
on the switch
is off. The indicator will also be off if all of
the warning systems are deactivated
using the settings menu.
The LDW system will vibrate the steering
wheel and blink the Lane Departure
Warning (LDW) indicator light (orange) to
alert the driver if the vehicle is traveling
