identi/cation number. Depending on the countr y,

to identify theow ner or driver, suc hasth e licence
plate number.
Therefore, data generated or processed bycont rol
units may be attributable toa person or, under
cer tain conditions, become attributable toa per-
son. Depending on which vehicle data are availa-
ble, it may be possible tomake inferences about,
fo re xamp le,your driving behaviour, your location,

itself. Control units oTen contain data memories

cal information about theve hicle's operating state, component loads, main

ments and tech nical events or faults.
Depending on theve hicle equipment, thefo llo w-
