The system calculates the articulation angle in
such a wayth at the direction of the trailer at
th e time of activation is maintained. There is a
short countersteering mo vement of the trailer
while theve hicle is reve rsed, which then
guides it back tothe desired line. In this wa y,
th eve hicle is aligned st raight with the trailer
and, at the same time, the direction of the
trailer is maintained. #
