els and the standard and special equipment for

In addition tocon ventional switches and buttons,
yo ur vehicle is equipped with touch-sensitive con-
trols.
These are located in thefo llowing areas of your
ve hicle:
R Roof and door control panel
R Climate control
R Steering wheel
R MBUX multimedia system
The controls ha vetouch-sensitive user inter face
sur faces. The sur faces are cont rolled bypressing
or swiping toadjust settings or totrigger func-
tions, fore xamp le. In
the area of theto uchscreen, you also receive
haptic feedback in thefo rm of a pulse or a vibra-
tion, or the sur face structure changes on the
to uch-sensitive user inter face sur face, fore xa m-
ple.

R When pressing a button on the user inter face

R When scrolling in a list or table
R When reaching a new area on the user inter-
fa ce sur face, e.g. a pop-up window
When handling touch-sensitive user inter face sur-

The selected setting forth e acoustic locking
ve ri/cation signal must comply with there le-
va nt national road and tra1c regulations. In
some countries, including German y,using the
acoustic locking veri/cation signal is forbid-
den bytra1c la ws(in accordance with §16
Pa ra. 1 and §30 Para. 1 of the German
national road tra1c regulations). The driver of
th eve hicle must comply with these regula-
tions. In countries where the use of this func-
tion is forbidden, this function is not activated

The reve rsing function does not react:
R tosoT, light and thin objects, e.g. /n gers.
R during resetting.
The reve rsing function cannot pr event some-
one from becoming trapped in these situa-

When you adjust a seat, you or other vehicle
occupants could become trapped, e.g. on the
seat guide rail. #
Make sure when adjusting a seat that no
one has any body parts in the sweep of

The driver's seat may mo veunexpectedly
while driving. This could cause

Always make sure that the driver's seat
is engaged before starting theve hicle. &

in motion
Yo u could lose control of theve hicle in thefo l-
lowing situations in particular:
R ifyo u adjust the driver's seat, the head
re straint, the steering wheel or the mir ror
while theve hicle is in motion
R ifyo ufa sten your seat belt while theve hi-
cle is in motion #
Before starting theve hicle: in particular,
adjust the driver's seat, head restraint,
stee ring wheel and mir ror,and fasten
yo ur seat belt. &

ARNING Risk of becoming trapped if the
seat height is adjusted carelessly
If yo u adjust the seat height carelessl y,yo u or
ot her vehicle occupants could be trapped and
th ereby injured.
Children in particular could accidentally press
th e electrical seat adjustment buttons and
become trapped. #
While moving the seats, make sure that
hands or other body parts do not get
under the le ver assembly ofthe seat
adjustment system. &

re straints not being /tted or being adjus-
te d incor rectly
If head restraints ha venot been installed or
ha ve not been adjusted cor rectl y,there is an
increased risk of injury in the head and neck
area, e.g. in theeve nt of an accident or when

If th eve hicle has the Interior Assistant, the driv-
er's body size can be de term ined automatically
using the 3D laser cameras in theove rhead con-
trol panel. #

mined the body size. #

The driver's seat and steering wheel position
is adjusted tothe body size that has been
de term ined.
% Further information on the Interior Assistant:
% Ifth e driver's seat and steering wheel position

comfor table, it can be manually adap ted at

The outside mir rors are not set via this func-
tion. Instead, they have tobe set manually via
