If yo u open the bonnet in theev ent of an overheated vehicle or /re in the engine compartment, thefo llowing situa-
tions may occur:
R You may come into contact with hot gases.
R You may come into contact with other escaping hot operating 0uids. #
Intheev ent of overheating or /re in the engine compartment, keep the bonnet closed and call the /re
service. #
Allow theov erheated vehicle tocool down /r stifyo u need toopen the bonnet. #
Wait until the drive system has cooled down. #
Make sure that the air supply totheve hicle radiator is not obstructed. #
Avoiding high loads on the drive system, drive tothe nearest quali/ed specialist workshop.
