QS mode
OWhen the shift range is S4 or lower, hold-
ing the shift lever toward “+” sets the shift
range to S6.
OTo prevent the engine from over-revving,
upshifting may automatically occur.
QDownshifting restrictions warning
buzzer
To help ensure safety and driving perfor-
mance, downshifting operation may some-
times be restricted. In some circumstances,
downshifting may not be possible even
when the shift lever or paddle shift switch is
operated. (A buzzer will sound twice.)
QIf the S indicator does not come on or
the D indicator is displayed even after
shifting the shift lever to S
This may indicate a malfunction in the
hybrid transmission system. Have the vehi-
cle inspected by your Lexus dealer immedi-
ately. (In this situation, the transmission will
operate in the same manner as when the
shift lever is in D.)
1 Right turn
2 Lane change to the right (move the
lever partway and release it)
The right hand signals will flash 3 times.
3Lane change to the left (move the
lever partway and release it)
The left hand signals will flash 3 times.
4Left turn
QTurn signals can be operated when
The power switch is in ON mode.
QIf the indicator flashes faster than usual
Check that a light bulb in the front or rear
turn signal lights has not burned out.
QIf the turn signals stop flashing before a
lane change has been performed
Operate the lever again.

Vehicles with triple-beam head-
lights
1 Using a Phillips-head screwdriver,
turn bolt A in either direction.
Remember the turning direction and the
number of turns.
2Turn bolt B the same number of
turns and in the same direction as
step 1.
If the headlight cannot be adjusted using
this procedure, take the vehicle to your
Lexus dealer to adjust the headlight aim.

check the wattage of the light bulb

QLED lights
The lights other than the front turn signal
lights (vehicles with single-beam head-
lights) and front side marker lights (vehicles
with single-beam headlights) each consist
of a number of LEDs. If any of the LEDs
burn out, take your vehicle to your Lexus
dealer to have the light replaced.
QCondensation build-up on the inside of
the lens
Temporary condensation build-up on the
inside of the headlight lens does not indi-
cate a malfunction. Contact your Lexus
dealer for more information in the following
situations:
OLarge drops of water have built up on the
inside of the lens.
OWater has built up inside the headlight.
QFront turn signal lights/front side
marker lights
1 To ensure enough space to per-
form work, turn the steering wheel
to rotate the front wheel away from
the bulb to be replaced. Remove
the fender liner clip.
Turn the steering wheel to the left when
replacing the right side light bulb, and turn
the steering wheel to the right when
replacing the left side light bulb.
2To protect the front bumper from
being damaged, apply protective
tape around the clips as shown in
the illustration.
Use masking tape, etc. Do not use duct
tape, as it may leave residue or damage the
paint when removed.
3Insert a flathead screwdriver
between the front bumper and the
fender liner and then detach the
claw.

detached.
4Pull back the fender liner and turn
the bulb base counterclockwise.

Remove the light bulb.

6 Install a new light bulb then install
the bulb base to the light unit by
inserting it and turning the bulb
base clockwise.

7 Return the fender liner to its origi-
nal position, and install the clip.
Make sure that the fender liner is correctly
positioned on the inner side of the front
