Features of your vehicle
Door
• Auto Lock :- Enable on Speed : All doors willbe automatically locked when the
vehicle speed exceeds 9.3 mph
(15 km/h).
- Enable on Shift (if equipped with Automatic transmission) : All
doors will be automatically locked
if the transmission shift lever is
shifted from the P (Park) position
to the R (Reverse), N (Neutral), or
D (Drive) position. (With the
Engine ON, it is activated.)
Auto Unlock : - Disable : The auto door unlockoperation will be canceled.
- Vehicle Off/On key out : All doors will be automatically unlocked
when the ignition key is removed
from the ignition switch or the
Engine Start/Stop button is set to
the OFF position. - On shift to P (if equipped with
Automatic transmission) : All
doors will be automatically
unlocked if the automatic trans-
mission shift lever is shifted to the
P (Park) position. (With the
Engine ON, it is activated.)
Two Press Unlock (if equipped) : - If this item is checked, the twopress unlock will be activated.
Press the door unlock button
once to unlock the driver's door,
and press the button once more
within 4 seconds to unlock the
rest of the doors.
Power Liftgate (if equipped) : - If this item is checked, the powerliftgate function will be activated.

Once you set the Engine Start/Stop Button to the ON posi-
tion.
- It illuminates for approximately 3seconds and then goes off.
When you deactivate the ESC sys- tem by pressing the ESC OFF but-
ton.

All Wheel Drive (AWD)
LOCK Indicator Light
This indicator light illuminates:
Once you set the ignition switch or Engine Start/Stop Button to the ON
position.

When you select AWD Lock mode by pressing the AWD LOCK button.
- The AWD LOCK mode is toincrease the drive power when
driving on wet pavement, snow
covered roads and/or off-road.

Continuous driving with the LED Headlamp Warning Lighton or blinking can reduce LEDheadlamp (low beam) life.

Features of your vehicle
High beam operation
To turn on the high beam headlamp,
push the lever away from you. The
lever will return to its original position.
The high beam indicator will light
when the headlight high beams are
switched on.
To turn off the high beam headlamp,
pull the lever to you when the high
beam is on. The lever will return to its
original position.
To prevent the battery from being
discharged, do not leave the lights
on for a prolonged time while the
engine is not running.
CAUTION
Never place anything over thesensor (1) located on theinstrument panel as this willensure better auto-light sys-tem control.
Do not clean the sensor using a window cleaner as the clean-er may leave a light film whichcould interfere with the sen-sor's operation.
If your vehicle has window tint or other types of metallic coat-ing on the front windshield,the Auto light system may notwork properly.
WARNING - High beams
Do not use high beam when
there are other vehicles. Using
high beam could obstruct the
other driver’s vision.

To flash the headlights, pull the lever
towards you. It will return to the nor-
mal (low beam) position when
released. The headlight switch does
not need to be on to use this flashing
feature.
High Beam Assist (HBA)
High Beam Assist is a system that
automatically adjusts the headlamp
range (switches between high beam
and low beam) according to the
brightness of other vehicles and road
conditions. Operating condition
1. Place the light switch in the AUTO
position.
2. Turn on the high beam by pushing the lever away from you.
The High Beam Assist ( ) indi- cator will illuminate.
3. High Beam Assist will turn on when vehicle speed is above 25
mph (40 kph).
High Beam Assist is operating,
the High Beam Assist will turn off
and the high beam will be on con-
tinuously. The High Beam Assist
( ) indicator will turn off.

High beam switches to low beam in
the below conditions.
- When High Beam Assist is off.
- When the light switch is not in theAUTO position.
- When the headlamp is detected from an on-coming vehicle
- When the tail lamp is detected from the front vehicle.
- When the surrounding is bright enough high beams are not need-
ed.
- When streetlights or other lights are detected.
- When vehicle speed is below 19 mph (30 kph).
- When headlamp / taillamp of bicy- cle/motorcycle is detectedWarning light and message
When the High Beam Assist System
is not working properly, the warning
message will come on for a few sec-
ond. After the message disappears,
the master warning light ( ) will
illuminate.
Take your vehicle to an authorized
Kia dealer and have the system
checked. The system may not operate normal-
ly in the below conditions.
When the light from a vehicle is not
detected because of lamp dam-
age, hidden from sight, etc.
When the lamp of a vehicle is cov- ered with dust, snow or water.
When the light from a vehicle is not detected because of exhaust
fumes, smoke, fog, snow, etc.
When the front window is covered with foreign matters such as ice,
dust, fog, or is damaged.
When there is a similar shape as a vehicle’s lamps.
When it is hard to see because of fog, heavy rain or snow.
When the headlamp is not repaired or replaced at an authorized deal-
er.
When headlamp aiming is not properly adjusted.
When driving on a narrow curved road or rough road.

Features of your vehicle
If an indicator stays on and does not
flash or if it flashes abnormally, one of
the turn signal bulbs may be burned
out and will require replacement.
✽ ✽NOTICE
If an indicator flash is abnormally
quick or slow, a bulb may be burned
out or have a poor electrical connec-
tion in the circuit.
Front fog light (if equipped)
Fog lights are used to provide
improved visibility when visibility is
poor due to fog, rain or snow, etc. The
fog lights will turn on when the fog light
switch (1) is turned to the on position
after the headlight is turned on.
To turn off the fog lights, turn the fog
light switch (1) to the OFF position.
When in operation, the fog lights
consume large amounts of vehicle
electrical power. Only use the fog
lights when visibility is poor.
Check headlight
This warning message illuminates if
there is a malfunction (burned-out
bulb except LED lamp or circuit mal-
function) with the headlamp. In this
case, have your vehicle inspected by
an authorized Kia dealer.
✽ ✽NOTICE
• When replacing the bulb, use the
same wattage bulb.
For more information, refer to
“BULB WATTAGE” in chapter 7.
• If the different wattage bulb is equipped with the vehicle, this
warning message is not displayed.
