initialization
When
initializing,
the
set
tire
inflation
pressures
serve
as
reference
values
in
order
to
detect
a
flat tire.
Initialization

started
by
confirming
the

initialize
the
system
when
driving
with
tire
chains.

tire
inflation
pressure
in
all
four
tires
is
correct,
the
Flat
Tire
Monitor
FTM
may
not have
been
initialized.

case,

driving
distance
may be
less
but
may
also
be
more
if
an
economicaldriving
style
is
used.
If
the
vehicle
is
loaded
with
an
average
weight
and
used
under
favorable
conditions,
the

tance
for
which
it
may
be
safe
to
drive
may
be
up to

Vehicle
handling
with
damaged
tires
Vehicles
driven
with
a
damaged
tire
will
handle
differently,
potentially
leading
to
conditions

as
the

Modify
your
driving

Avoid
abrupt
steering maneuvers
or

Reduce
speed

When
using
run-flat
tires
or
a
flat
tire
kit,
a
wheel
does
not
always
need
to
be
changed
immedi#j ately
when
there
is
a
tire
pressure
loss
due
to

tire.

the
tools
for
changing
wheels
are available
as
accessories
from
a
dealer#ss
service
center
or
another
qualified
service
center
or
re#j
pair
shop.
Safety

The
vehicle
jack
is
only
provided
for
short-term lifting
of
the
vehicle
for
wheel
changes.
Even
if
all
safety
measures
are
observed,
there
is
a

the
raised
vehicle

tips

in
front
and
behind
the
wheel
that
is
diagonal
to
the wheel
to
be
changed.
On
a
slight
downhill
gradient
If
you
need
to
change
a
wheel
on
a
slight
down#j
hill
grade,
place
chocks
and
other
suitable
ob#j
jects,
for
instance
rocks,
under
the
wheels
of
both
the
front
and
rear
axles
against
the
rolling
direction.
Lug
bolt
lock
Principle
The
wheel
lug
bolts
have
a
special
coding.
The
lug
bolts
can
only
be
released
with
the
adapter
which
matches
the
coding.
Overview
The
adapter
of
the
lug
bolt
lock
is
in
the
onboard
vehicle
tool
kit
or
in
a
storage
compartment
close
to
the
onboard
vehicle
tool
kit.

bolts
may
have

remaining

bolts
and
tighten
all

in

crosswise
