Your vehicle’s multi-functional seco nd row center seat is removable.
1. Store the center seat belt first. Insert the
latch plate into the slot on the side of the
anchor buckle.
2. Retract the seat belt into the holder on the
ceiling.

3.Pull up the strap and fold down the second
row center seat-back.
4. Pull the lock release strap under the seat
cushion, and lift the rear of the seat.
u To lift the seat, grab the handle under
the rear side of the seat cushion.
5. Pull the seat-back slig htly, then pivot it
upward.
u This unhooks the front of the seat from
the floor.

Do not remove the seat while driving.
The multi-functional center seat can be used as the

The indicator shows red when the seat is not installed
properly.
To reinstall the seat, hook the front of the seat to the
floor first. Afte r confirming both the front hooks are
fully inserted into the front strikers, begin to lower
the seat, then allow it to drop and lock to the rear
floor strikers. Raise the seat-back to an upright
position, then rock the seat-back and forth to
confirm both the rear latches are securely locked into
position.
Make sure the indicator is not red.

Head restraints can be removed for cleaning or repair.
To remove a head restraint:
Pull the restraint up as far as it will go. Then push the release button, and pull the
restraint up and out.
To reinstall a head restraint:
Insert the legs back in place, then adjust the head restraint to an appropriate height
while pressing the release button. Pull up on the restraint to make sure it is locked
in position.
To remove a head restraint:
Pull the restraint up as far as it will go . Then push the release buttons which are
located on the both legs at the same time, and pull the restraint up and out.
To reinstall a head restraint:
Insert the legs back in place, then adjust the head restraint to an appropriate height
while pressing the right release button. Pull up on the restraint to make sure it is
locked in position.

To remove and install the fr ont head restraint, recline
the seat-back slightly forward as the space between
the ceiling and the seat-back is limited.
3WARNING
Failure to reinstall, or correctly reinstall, the
head restraints can result in severe injury
during a crash.
Always replace the he ad restraints before
driving.

Interior Lights
■ON
The interior lights come on regardless of
whether the tailgate and doors are open or
closed.
■Door activated
The interior lights come on in the following
situations:
• When the tailgate or any of the doors are
opened.
• You unlock the driver’s door.
• When the power mode is set to VEHICLE
OFF.
■OFF
The interior lights remain off regardless of
whether the tailgate or any doors are open or
closed.
■Interior Light Switches1 Interior Light Switches
In the door activated position, the interior lights fade
out and go off about 30 se conds after the doors are
closed.
The lights go off after about 30 seconds in the
following situations:
•When you unlock the driver’s door but do not open
it.
•When you set the power mode to VEHICLE OFF but
do not open a door.
You can change the interi or lights dimming time.

The interior lights go off im mediately in the following
situations:
•When you lock the driver’s door.•When you close the driver’s door in ACCESSORY
mode.
•When you set the power mode to ON.
To avoid draining the ba ttery, do not leave the
interior light on for an extended length of time when
the engine is off.
If you leave any of the tailgate or doors open in
VEHICLE OFF mode, the inte rior lights go off after
about 15 minutes.

The AC power outlet can be used when the engine is running.
Open the cover to use it. Plug in the appliance
slightly, turn it 90° clockwise, then push it all
the way.

Do not use the AC power outlet for electric
appliances that require hi gh initial peak wattage,
such as cathode-ray tube type televisions,
refrigerators, electric pumps, etc. It is not suitable for
devices that process precis e data, such as medical
equipment, and that require an extremely stable
power supply, such as microcomputer-controlled
electric blankets, touc h sensor lamps, etc.
The AC power outlet is desi gned to supply power for
up to 115 volt appliances that are rated 150 watts or
less.
Continued use of any elec tric appliance/device
exceeding these ratings may result in damage to the
appliance/device.
When the AC power outlet is not in use, close the
cover to prevent any small foreign objects from
getting into the AC power outlet.

■Switching between the recirc ulation and fresh air modes
Press the (recirculation) button and switch the mode depending on
environmental conditions.
Recirculation mode (indicator on): Recirculates air from the vehicle’s interior through
the system.
Fresh air mode (indicator off): Maintains outside ventilation.1 Using Automatic Climate Control
When you unlock the doors with your remote, the
driver’s ID (DRIVER 1 or DRIVER 2) is detected, and
the climate control settings are turned to the
respective mode automatically when you set the
power mode to ON.

Rear Climate Control System
Use the system when the engine is runni ng and the climate control system is
operating.
1. Press the (ON/OFF) button.
2. Press the REAR SETTINGS button.
u The system switches to the rear control mode for 10 seconds. The REAR
indicator appears on the display.
3. Press the AUTO button.
u The rear system changes to AUTO mode.
u The system automatically adjusts the fan speed and airfl ow levels to maintain
the set rear temperature. Change the temperature if necessary.
4. To turn off the rear climate control system, press the (ON/OFF) button.

LOCK appears on the rear control panel while the
rear lock is on.
If the rear lock is on while in SYNC mode, the rear
control panel is disabled. LOCK SYNC appears on the
rear control panel.
