WARNING
■After returning the seatback to the upright position
Observe the following precautions. Failure to do so may result in death or
serious injury.
● Check that the seat belts are not twisted or caught in the seat back.
●Make sure that the seatback is securely
locked in position by lightly pushing it
back and forth.
If the seatback is not securely locked,
the red marking will be visible on the
seatback lock release lever. Make sure
that the red marking is not visible.

Front and rear center seats
Pull the head restraint up while pressing
the lock release button.
Pull the seatback lock release lever and
fold down the seatback until it reaches
the position where the head restraints
can be removed.
Pull the head restraint up while pressing
the lock release buttons.
Align the head restraint with the installa-
tion holes and push it down to the lock
position.
Press and hold the lock release button
when lowering the head restraint.

Rear outboard seats
■ Adjusting the height of the head restraints (front seats)
■ Adjusting the rear cen ter seat head restraint
Always raise the head restraint one level from the stowed posit ion when
using. Pull the seatback lock release lever and
fold down the seatback until it reaches
the position where the head restraints
can be installed.
Align the head restraint with the installa-
tion holes and push it down to the low-
est lock position.
Make sure that the head restraints are
adjusted so that the center of the head
restraint is closest to the top of your ears.

■ Head restraint precautions
Observe the following precautions regarding the head restraints. Failure to
do so may result in death or serious injury.
● Use the head restraints designed for each respective seat.
● Adjust the head restraints to the correct position at all times.
● After adjusting the head restraints, push down on them and make sure
they are locked in position.
● Do not drive with the head restraints removed.

WARNING
■Things that must not be carried in the luggage compartment
The following things may cause a fire if loaded in the luggage compart-
ment:
●Receptacles containing gasoline
●Aerosol cans
■Storage precautions
Observe the following precautions.
Failure to do so may prevent the pedals from being depressed pr operly,
may block the driver’s vision, or may result in items hitting t he driver or
passengers, possibly causing an accident.
●Stow cargo and luggage in the luggage compartment whenever poss i-
ble.
●Do not stack cargo and luggage in the luggage compartment highe r
than the seatbacks.
●When you fold down the rear seats, long items should not be pla ced
directly behind the front seats.
●Never allow anyone to ride in the luggage compartment. It is no t
designed for passengers. They should ride in their seats with t heir seat
belts properly fastened.
●Do not place cargo or luggage in or on the following locations.
• At the feet of the driver
• On the front passenger or rea r seats (when stacking items)
• On the luggage cover (if equipped)
• On the instrument panel
• On the dashboard
●Secure all items in the occupant compartment.
■Capacity and distribution
●Do not exceed the maximum axle weight rating or the total vehic le
weight rating.
●Even if the total load of occupant’s weight and the cargo load is less
than the total load capacity, d o not apply the load unevenly. I mproper
loading may cause deterioration of steering or braking control which
may cause death or serious injury.

The cooling and dehumidificati on function switches between on a nd
off each time is pressed.
To stop the operation, press .
■Automatic mode indicator
If the fan speed setting or air flow modes are operated, the
indicator goes off. However, automatic mode for functions other
than that operat ed is maintained.
This function automatically contro ls the air conditioning airflow so that
priority is given to the front seats. When the front passenger seat is
not occupied, airflow may switch to only the driver’s seat. Unn eces-
sary air conditioning is suppressed, contributing to increased fuel effi-
ciency.
Front seat concentrated airflow mode operates in the following situa-
tions.
● No passengers are dete cted in the rear seats
● The windshield defogger is not operating
While operating, illuminates.

Interior features
■Manually turning front seat concentrated airflow mode on/off
In front seat concentrated airflow mode, directing airflow to t he front
seats only and to all seats can be switched via switch operatio n.
When the mode has been switched manually, automatic airflow
control stops operating.
Press on the air conditioning operation panel and switch
the airflow.
● Indicator illuminated: Airflow to the front seats only
● Indicator off: Airfl ow to all the seats
■Switching between outside air and recirculated air modes
Press .
The mode switches between outside air mode and recirculated air mode
each time is pressed.
The indicator illuminates when the recirculated air mode is
selected.
■
Air conditioning eco mode
The air conditioning system is c ontrolled with low fuel consumption
prioritized such as re ducing fan speed, etc.
Press .
The air conditioning eco mode switches between on and off each time
is pressed.
“ECO” is displayed in the air conditioning control panel displa y when the
air conditioning eco mode is on.

■Using automatic mode
Fan speed is adjusted automatically according to the temperatur e setting and
the ambient conditions.
Therefore, the fan may stop for a while until warm or cool air is ready to flow
immediately after is pressed.
■ Setting confirmation screen
■ Operation of automatic airflow control
●In order to maintain a comfortable interior, airflow may be directed to seats
without passengers immediately after the hybrid system is start ed and at
other times depending on the outside temperature.
● After the hybrid system is started, if passengers move around i nside or
enter/exit the vehicle, the system cannot accurately detect the presence of
passengers and automatic airflow control will not operate.
■ Operation of manual airflow control
Even if the function is manually switched to directing airflow to only the front
seats, when a rear seat is occupied, it may automatically direc t airflow to all
seats.
■ To return to automatic airflow control
With the indicator off, turn the power switch off.
After 60 minutes or more elapse, turn the power switch to ON.
■ Front seat concentrated airfl ow mode (S-FLOW) operation
■ Changing settings using the multi-information display
The air conditioning system settings can be changed on the scr een of
the multi-information display. ( P. 147)
When changing the settings of the air
conditioning system, the setting confirma-
tion screen is shown as a pop-up on the
multi-information display.
Press of the meter control switches to
go back to the previous screen.
When is pressed, the front seat
concentrated airflow mode (S-FLOW) sta-
tus is displayed on the multi-information
display.
