Electronic key with
remote control function
and built-in key,
Remote control function

The remote control can be used for the following
remote functions, depending on version:
–
Unlocking/Locking the vehicle.
–


Remote audible signal.
–


Setting the driver
’s door selective unlocking.
–

Folding/Unfolding the door mirrors.
–


Activating/Deactivating the alarm.
–


Locating the vehicle.
–


Opening/Closing the windows.
–


Activating the vehicle’
s electronic immobiliser.
The remote control includes a conventional key
that allows the central unlocking/locking of the
vehicle using the door lock, as well as starting
and switching off the engine.
Back-up procedures allow the vehicle to be
locked/unlocked in the event of a failure of the
remote control, the central locking, the battery, etc. For more information on the Back-up
procedures, please refer to the corresponding
section.
Built-in key
The key built into the remote control can be
used for the following operations, depending on
version:
–

Locking/Unlocking the vehicle.
–


Activation/Deactivation of the front passenger
airbag.
–


Back-up Unlocking/Locking of the doors.
–


Switching on the ignition and starting/switching
off the engine.
W

ithout Keyless Entry and Starting


► To unfold or fold the key, press the button.
With Keyless Entry and Starting


► To eject the key or put it back in place, press
and hold the button.
Unlocking the vehicle
Selective unlocking (driver’s door) is configured
with the remote control or via the touch screen
(depending on version).
► Without Keyless Entry and
Starting, by pressing these 2
buttons simultaneously for approximately 4
seconds (confirmed by an audible signal on the
instrument panel).
► With Keyless Entry and Starting, by
pressing this button for approximately 5
seconds (confirmed by an audible signal on the
instrument panel) or via the Vehicle settings
touch screen menu.
With the remote control
► Press this button to unlock the vehicle.
Unlocking is signalled by rapid flashing of
the direction indicators for a few seconds.
Depending on version, the door mirrors unfold
and the welcome lighting comes on.
Selective unlocking
Driver's door
► Press the unlocking button.
► Press it again to unlock the other doors.
Complete or selective unlocking and alarm
deactivation is confirmed by flashing the
direction indicators.
Depending on version, the door mirrors unfold.
Opening the windows
Depending on version, holding the
unlocking button pressed for more than 3
seconds opens the windows.
The windows stop when the button is released.
With the key
Driver's door
► Turn the key in the driver's door lock towards
the front of the vehicle to unlock it.
If the vehicle has an alarm, it will not be
deactivated. Opening a door will trigger the
alarm, which can be stopped by pressing the
remote control unlocking button.
Tailgate (depending on version)
► Turn the dedicated key in the tailgate lock to
the left to unlock.
Locking the vehicle
With the remote control
► Press this button to lock the vehicle.
Locking and alarm activation is confirmed by the
lighting of the direction indicators.

2Selective unlocking
Driver's door
► Press the unlocking button.
►

Press it
again to unlock the other doors.
Complete or selective unlocking and alarm
deactivation is confirmed by flashing the
direction indicators.
Depending on version, the door mirrors unfold.
Opening the windows
Depending on version, holding the
unlocking button pressed for more than 3
seconds opens the windows.
The windows stop when the button is released.
With the key
Driver's door
► T urn the key in the driver's door lock towards
the front of the vehicle to unlock it.
If the vehicle has an alarm, it will not be
deactivated. Opening a door will trigger the
alarm, which can be stopped by pressing the
remote control unlocking button.
Tailgate (depending on version)

T
urn the dedicated key in the tailgate lock to
the left to unlock.
Locking the vehicle
With the remote control
► Press this button to lock the vehicle.
Locking and alarm activation is confirmed by the
lighting of the direction indicators.
Depending on version, the door mirrors fold.
An improperly closed door prevents the vehicle from locking. If the vehicle is
fitted with an alarm, it will be activated after
about 45
seconds.
If the vehicle is unlocked but the doors
are not subsequently opened, the vehicle
will automatically lock itself again after
approximately 30
seconds. If the vehicle
is fitted with an alarm, it will be reactivated
automatically.
Closing the windows
Holding the locking button pressed for
more than 3 seconds closes the windows.
When closing windows, ensure that no
person or object could prevent their
correct closure.
With the key
Driver's door
► T urn the key in the driver's door lock towards
the rear of the vehicle to lock it.
Check that the doors are properly closed.
Tailgate (depending on version)
►

T

urn the dedicated key in the tailgate lock to
the right to lock it.
Locating the vehicle
Helps you to locate your vehicle from a distance,
with the vehicle locked:
–

The direction indicators flash for approximately
10 seconds.
–


The sidelamps and dipped beam headlamps
come on for 30 seconds.
► Press this button.
Remote audible signal
Used to locate the vehicle when it is not visible.
Also used to dissuade anyone who wants to
enter the vehicle or damage it.
► Press this button twice consecutively
to activate the horn twice.
Advice
Remote control
The remote control is a sensitive, high-
frequency device; avoid handling it in your
pocket, due to the risk of unintentionally
unlocking the vehicle.
Avoid pressing the remote control buttons
while out of range of the vehicle, due to
the risk of rendering the remote control
inoperative. It would then be necessary to
reset it.
The remote control does not work
when the
key is in the ignition switch, even when the
ignition is switched off.

Tailgate
Safety recommendations

Never drive with the tailgate down.
Ensure that there are no people or
obstacles present (on the ground and higher
up) when unloading.
Never place your hands near the bracket
when handling the tailgate, there is a risk of
trapping your fingers.
The loading bay tailgate is heavy, open it
carefully.
Observe the payload indicated on the
manufacturer's label present on the vehicle.
Regularly check that the suspensions are in
good condition and that the tyres are inflated
to the recommended pressure.
Spread the load evenly in the loading bay.
Opening to 90°

► Depending on version, unlock the tailgate
with the dedicated key .
►

Pull the opening handle then lower the
tailgate, supporting it until it is held in place by
the retaining brackets.
The maximum load on the tailgate is 100 kg. A heavier load could damage the
brackets.
Opening to 180°

Depending on version, it is possible to increase
the opening angle to around 180°.
►

After opening the tailgate, raise the tailgate
slightly by pulling the brackets in the opposite
direction of operation.
►


When the position is obtained, remove the
brackets from their shaft on both sides of the
tailgate.
Closing
► Raise the tailgate until the locks latch into
place.
Depending on version, if the brackets
have been detached, be sure to reinstall
them before closing the tailgate again.
Check that the 2 locks are correctly locked by
pulling the tailgate on each side.
Alarm
(Depending on version)
System which protects and provides a deterrent
against theft and break-ins.
Exterior perimeter monitoring
The system checks for opening of the vehicle.
The alarm goes off if anyone tries to open a door
or the bonnet, for example.
For all work on the alarm system, contact
a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
Locking the vehicle with
alarm system
Activation
► Switch off the ignition and exit the vehicle.
► Lock the vehicle using the remote control or
with the “Keyless Entry and Starting” system.
When the monitoring system is active,
this indicator lamp flashes once per
second on the instrument panel and the direction
indicators flash for about 2 seconds.
The exterior perimeter monitoring is activated
after 5 seconds.
If an opening (door or bonnet) is not
properly closed, the vehicle is not locked,
but the exterior perimeter monitoring will be
activated after 45 seconds.
Deactivation
► Press the remote control unlocking
button.
or
► Unlock the vehicle with the Keyless Entry and
Starting system.
The monitoring system is deactivated: the
indicator lamp on the instrument panel goes off
and the direction indicators flash for about 2
seconds.
If the vehicle automatically locks itself
again (as happens if a door is not

lines 3 represent 2 m, and the small green lines
4 represent 3 m.
It is possible to deactivate the display of the
guiding
lines on the image at any time.
The display of the guiding lines is
configured in the Settings
menu of the
Reversing camera function.
They are represented as lines marked
"on the ground" and do not indicate the
position of the vehicle in relation to tall
obstacles (e.g. other vehicles).
Some distortion of the image is normal.
Opening the tailgate may disturb the
display.
Off-Road camera
Refer to the General recommendations on the
use of driving and manoeuvring aids .


With the ignition on, the camera located at the
bottom of the right-hand door mirror displays the
view from the front right-hand side of the vehicle on the touch screen in order to improve visibility
during a manoeuvre.
This view is not recommended for carrying out a
complete manoeuvre.
The front and rear parking sensors also provide
information on the vehicle's surroundings.




► Press this button to activate/deactivate the
function, with the ignition on and at a speed
below approximately 17 mph (27
km/h).


The view of the front right-hand side of the
vehicle is displayed.
The view is automatically displayed:
–

when the right-hand direction indicator is
selected;
– if an obstacle is detected by the parking
sensors on the front right-hand side.
At any time, depending on version, it is possible
to switch to rear view by selecting the rear
camera view on the screen.
The configuration of the automatic
function via detection by the parking
sensors or via the direction indicators is done
using the
Settings menu in the Off Road
camera system, on the left of the touch screen.
The function will be deactivated:
– Above about 19 mph (30 km/h).
–

when the right-hand direction indicator is
stopped;
–


by pressing the function activation button
again;
–


without any action from the driver for
approximately 1 minute;
–


by pressing the “ Switch off” button in the
upper-left corner of the touch screen.
Opening the front right-hand door and
folding the mirror may disturb the display.
360° camera
Refer to the General recommendations on the
use of driving and manoeuvring aids .

The vehicle has several cameras:
– At the front, fitted in the grille.
–

At the rear
, near the tailgate opening control.
–

Under each door mirror
.
With the engine running, these cameras allow
views of the vehicle’s close surroundings to be
displayed on the touch screen:
–

V
iews from the rear (rear vision), with reverse
gear engaged.
–

V
iews of the front (forward vision), with the
gearbox in neutral or a gear engaged.
–

Side views (door mirror vision), with the
direction indicators activated or obstacle
detection.




The screen is divided into 2 parts: on the
left, a view from above the vehicle in its close
surroundings; on the right, a contextual view as
well as a 3-dimensional view representing the
vehicle’s close surroundings.
A dynamic projection of the vehicle trajectory
(vehicle outline and position of the wheels) is
displayed on the front and rear contextual views
and the view from above.
The parking sensors supplement the information
on the view from above the vehicle.
Different contextual views can be displayed in
the left-hand part:
–

front view

rear view

“Split” front view

auto zoom view

– 3-dimensional view .
When the cameras are activated, a
symbol appears at the top of the
contextual view to indicate their positions on
the vehicle and the displayed area.
Opening the front doors or the tailgate, or
folding the mirrors may disturb the
display.
By default, 2D views mode is activated.
In this mode, the system chooses the best view
to display (standard or zoom) according to the
information transmitted by the parking sensors.
You can change the display mode at any time
during the manoeuvre:
–

"2D views",
–

"3D views".
Operating principle

Using the front and rear cameras as well as the
mirror cameras, the vehicle’s close surroundings
are recorded during low speed manoeuvres.

In the event of a breakdown

► Turn the connector a quarter turn
anti-clockwise.
►
Pull the bulb connector
.
►

Remove the bulb and replace it.
Amber-coloured bulbs must be replaced by bulbs with identical specifications and
colour.
Daytime running lamps

► Remove the protective cover by giving it a
quarter turn.
►

Pull the bulb holder backwards to remove it.
►


Pull out the bulb and replace it.
When refitting the bulb holder in its housing,
press until you hear a click which means it is
locked in place.
Rear lamps
1. A: Brake lamps/sidelamps (P21/5W)
or
B: Brake lamps (P21W)
2. Direction indicators (PY21W)
3. Reversing lamps (W16W)
4. Foglamp (P21W)
5. B: Sidelamps
(LED)
►

Open the tailgate.

► Unscrew the 2 fixing screws located on the
pillar .
►

Hold the lamp and unclip it by pulling
outwards then turn it over carefully

.


► Turn the bulb holder a quarter turn
anti-clockwise.
► Remove the bulb holder and replace the
bulb by pulling or pressing then turning the bulb
(depending on the bulb type).
