Compass*
When you set the power mode to ON, the compass self-calibrates, and the compass
display appears.
Compass Calibration
If the compass indicates the wrong direction, or the CAL indicator blinks, you need
to manually calibrate the system.
1.Set the power mode to ON.
2. Press and hold the (day/night) button
until the display shows the compass setting
menu.
3. Rotate to select Calibration, then press
.
4. When the display changes to Push CAL
Start, press .
5. Drive the vehicle slow ly in two circles.
u The compass starts to show a direction
after the calibration. The CAL indicator
goes off.

Compass operation can be affected under the
following conditions:
•Driving near power lines or stations
•Crossing a bridge•Passing a large vehicle, or driving near a large
object that can cause a magnetic disturbance
•When accessories such as antennas and roof racks
are mounted by magnets

Calibrate the compass in an open area.
While setting the compass:
•The (Back) button returns to the previous
screen.

Compass Zone Selection
1. Set the power mode to ON.
2. Press and hold the (day/night) button
until the display shows the compass setting
menu.
3. Rotate to select Zone, then press .
The display shows the current zone
number.
4. Rotate to select the zone number of
your area (See Zone Map), then press .1Compass Zone Selection
The zone selection is done to compensate the
variation between magneti c north and true north.
If the calibration starts while the audio system is in
use, the display returns to normal after the calibration
is completed.

NOTICE
When you change (D to (R and vice versa, come to
a complete stop and keep the brake pedal depressed.
Operating the shift button before the vehicle has
come to a complete standstill can damage the
transmission.
Use the shift position indi cator and the shift button
indicator to check the shift position before selecting a
shift button.
If the indicator of the currently selected shift position,
or all the shift position indicators are blinking
simultaneously, there is a problem with the
transmission.
Avoid sudden acceleration and have the transmission
checked by a dealer as soon as possible.
When shifting positions in extremely low
temperatures (-22°F/-30°C), there may be a short
delay before the shift posit ion is displayed. Always
confirm you are in the corr ect shift position before
driving.

■If you want to keep the transmission in (N position [car wash mode]
With the power system on:
1. Press and hold the brake pedal.
2. Press and release the
(N button.
u
(N (Neutral) hold mode will appear on the driver information interface.
3. Press the
(N button again and hold it for two seconds.
u The vehicle will enter car wash mode, which must be used when your vehicle
is pulled through a conveyor type automatic car wash where you or an
attendant do not remain in the vehicle.
If you want to cancel car wash mode, select a position other than
(N.
If the POWER button is presse d after car wash
mode has been activated, the power mode
will change to ACCESSORY and a message
will be displayed on the driver information
interface.
u For 15 minutes the transmission remains
in
(N with the power mode will remain
in ACCESSORY. After that, the
transmission automatically changes to
(P.
u Manually changing to
(P cancels
ACCESSORY mode. The
(P indicator
comes on and the power mode changes
to OFF. You must always put the
transmission into
(P when car wash
mode is no longer needed.

uuHonda Sensing ®u Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed Follow
Driving
When driving at about 25 mph (40 km/h) or above: Take your foot off the
pedal and press the –/SET button when you reach the desired speed. The moment
you release the button, th e set speed is fixed, and ACC with Low Speed Follow
begins.
When driving slower than about 25 mph (40 km/h): If the vehicle is moving
and the brake pedal is not depressed, pressing the button fixes the set speed to
about 25 mph (40 km/h) regardless of current vehicle speed. If the vehicle is
stationary, you can set the vehicle speed even with the brake pedal depressed.
■To Set the Vehicle Speed1 Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed Follow
The indicators for the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
with Low Speed Follow, Road Departure Mitigation
(RDM), Vehicle Stability Assist
TM (VSA ®) system,
Vehicle Stability AssistTM (VSA ®) OFF, low tire
pressure/TPMS, Collision Mitigation Braking SystemTM
(CMBSTM), and Parking Brake and Brake System
(Amber) may come on along with a message in the
Driver Information Interf ace after reconnecting the
12V-battery. Drive a short distance at more than 12
mph (20 km/h). The indicator should go off. If it does
not, have your vehicle checked by a dealer.

Driving
Increase or decrease the vehicle speed using the RES/+ or –/SET button on the
steering wheel.
• Each time you press the RES/+ or –/SET button, the vehicle speed is increased or
decreased by about 1 mph or 1 km/h accordingly.
• If you keep pressing the RES/+ or –/SET button, the vehicle speed increases or
decreases by about 5 mph or 5 km/h accordingly.
■To Adjust the Vehicle Speed1 To Adjust the Vehicle Speed
If a vehicle detected ahead is going at a speed slower
than your increased set speed, ACC with Low Speed
Follow may not accelerate y our vehicle. This is to
maintain the set interval between your vehicle and
the vehicle ahead.
