The power mode must be in ON to use the
seat heaters.
Press the seat heater button:
Once - The HI setting (three indicators on)
Twice - The MID setting (two indicators on)
Three times - The LO setting (one indicator on)
Four times - The OFF se tting (no indicators on)
■Seat Heaters1Seat Heaters
Do not use the seat heaters even in LO when the
power system is off. U nder such conditions, the 12-
volt battery may be weakened, making the power
system difficult to start.
After a certain period of time, the strength setting for
the seat heaters will automatically be reduced by one
level at a time until the seat heaters shuts off. The
elapsed time varies according to the interior
environment.
3WARNING
Heat induced burns are possible when
using seat heaters.
Persons with a diminished ability to sense
temperature (e.g., persons with diabetes,
lower-limb nerve damage, or paralysis) or
with sensitive skin should not use seat
heaters.

Controls
You can operate the climate control system from outside the vehicle.
■To turn on the system
1. Press the lock button.
u Some exterior lights flash.
2. Within about five seconds, press and hold
the climate button.
u Some exterior lights flash.
u After about five seconds, some exterior
lights flash six times and the climate
control system is turned on.
■To turn off the system
Press and hold th e climate button.
u Some exterior lights flash and the climate
control system is turned off.
■Turning the Climate Control System On and Off with the
Remote1 Turning the Climate Control System On and Off with the Remote
The climate control system automatically turned off
when any of the following conditions are met.
•The system has been operated for more than 30
minutes.
•The High Voltage battery level becomes low.•A door or the hood is opened.
•The power mode is set to any mode other than
OFF.
•The brake pedal is being depressed.
The climate control system does not operate with a
remote transmitter when any of the following
conditions are met.
•A door or the hood is not closed.•The power mode is set to any mode other than
OFF.
•The brake pedal is being depressed.•The High Voltage battery level is low.
3WARNING
Make sure that no one is inside the vehicle
when you use the remote climate control
system. After a certain period of time has
elapsed, the system shu ts off. During this
time, the interior of the vehicle may heat
up or cool down depending on ambient
temperatures. If a child is left inside the
vehicle, extreme temperature exposure can
result in death or seri ous injury of the child.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed
Follow
Helps maintain a constant vehicle speed a nd a set following-interval behind a vehicle
detected ahead of yours and, if the detect ed vehicle comes to a stop, can decelerate
and stop your ve hicle, without yo u having to keep your foot on the brake or the
accelerator.
When ACC with Low Speed Follow slows your vehicle by applying the brakes, your
vehicle’s brake lights will illuminate.
1 Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed Follow
Important Reminder
As with any system, there are limits to ACC with Low
Speed Follow. Use the brake pedal whenever
necessary, and always keep a safe interval between
your vehicle and other vehicles.
Be careful not to severely impact the radar sensor
cover.
3WARNING
Improper use of ACC with Low Speed
Follow can lead to a crash.
Use ACC with Low Spee d Follow only when
driving on expressways or freeways and in
good weather conditions.
3WARNING
ACC with Low Speed Follow has limited
braking capability and may not stop your
vehicle in time to avoid a collision with a
vehicle that quickly sto ps in front of you.
Always be prepared to apply the brake
pedal if the conditions require.
When to use
■Vehicle speed for ACC with Low Speed Follow: Desired speed in a range above
roughly 25 mph (40 km/h) ~ 90 mph (145 km/h).

uuWhen Driving uAdaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed Follow

■There is a vehicle ahead
ACC with Low Speed Follow monitors if a vehicle ahead of you enters the ACC with
Low Speed Follow range. If a vehicle is de tected doing so, the ACC with Low Speed
Follow system maintains or decelerates your vehicle’s set speed in order to keep the
vehicle’s set following-interval from the vehicle ahead.
2 To Set or Change Following-Interval P. 401
When a vehicle whose speed is slower than
your set speed is detected in front of you, your
vehicle starts to slow down.
■When in Operation1 When in Operation
If the vehicle ahead of you slows down abruptly, or if
another vehicle is detected cutting in front of you, a
beeper sounds, a message appears on the driver
information interface, and the head-up warning
lights come on.
Depress the brake pedal, and keep an appropriate
interval from the vehicle ahead.
Even if the interval betw een your vehicle and the
vehicle detected ahead is short, ACC with Low Speed
Follow may start accelerati ng your vehicle under the
following circumstances:
•The vehicle ahead of you is going at almost the
same speed as, or faster than, your vehicle.
•A vehicle that cuts in front of you is going faster
than your vehicle, gradua lly increasing the interval
between the vehicles.
You can also set the system to beep when a vehicle
detected in front of you comes in and goes out of the
ACC with Low Speed Follow detecting range. Change
the ACC Forward Vehicle Detect Beep setting.
