■Cautions during setting up the display
If the engine is running when chang-
ing the display settings, ensure that the vehicle is parked in a place with adequate ventilation. In a closed area
such as a garage, exhaust gases including harmful carbon monoxide (CO) may collect and enter the vehi-
cle. This may lead to death or a seri- ous health hazard.

■If a warning message is displayed on the multi-information display
A system may be temporarily unavailable or there may be a malfunction in the sys-
tem.
●In the following situations, perform the actions specified in the table. When the nor-

When the area around a camera is cov-
ered with dirt, moisture (fogged up, cov-
ered with condensation, ice, etc.), or
other foreign matterUsing the wiper and A/C function,
remove the dirt and other attached mat-
ter. (→P.231).
When the temperature around the front
camera is outside of the operational
range, such as when the vehicle is in the
sun or in an extremely cold environment
If the front camera is hot, such as after
the vehicle had been parked in the sun,
use the air conditioning system to
decrease the temperature around the
front camera.
If a sunshade was used when the vehicle
was parked, depending on its type, the
sunlight reflected from the surface of the
sunshade may cause the temperature of
the front camera to become excessively
high.
If the front camera is cold, such after the
vehicle is parked in an extremely cold
environment, use the air conditioning
system to increase the temperature
around the front camera.
The area in front of the front camera is
obstructed, such as when the hood is
open or a sticker is attached to the part of
the windshield in front of the front cam-
era.
Close the hood, remove the sticker, etc.,
to clear the obstruction.

amount of time.
• The clutch pedal is not depressed.
• The shift lever is in N.
• The driver’s seat belt is fastened.
• The driver’s door is closed.
• The selected driving modes are nor-

• The hood and back door are closed.
(P.197)
●In the following situations the engine
may not be stopped by the Stop &
Start system. This is not a malfunction
of the Stop & Start system.
• When the air conditioning system is
being used.
• When the battery is undergoing a peri-
odic recharge.
• When the battery is not sufficiently
charged, such as if the vehicle has
been parked for a long time and the
battery charge has decreased, the
electric load is large, the battery fluid
temperature is excessively low or the
battery has deteriorated.
• When the brake booster vacuum is
low.
• When the elapsed time since the
engine was restarted is short.
• When the vehicle is stopped fre-quently, such as when in a traffic jam.
• When the engine coolant temperature
or transmission fluid temperature is
