Touch screen audio and telematics system


This audio system control panel, located in the
centre of the dashboard, gives access to menus
in order to customise some equipment.
The corresponding information is displayed in
the touch screen.
It is available in 9 languages: German, English,
Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish,
Portuguese and Turkish.
For safety reasons, some menus are only
accessible with the ignition off.
Provides access to the “Settings” menu.
Allows you to scroll up in a menu or
increase a value.
Allows you to scroll down in a menu or decrease a value.

The settings in sub-menus 4, 5 and 6
vary depending on the equipment
installed on the vehicle.
From the "Display" sub-menu, it is possible to:
– select "Languages" and choose one of the languages mentioned above,– select "Unit of measurement" and set the consumption (mpg, l/100 km), distances (miles,
km) and temperature (°F, °C),
– select "Trip B display" to activate or deactivate trip B of the trip computer (On, Off).
From the "Safety/Assistance" sub-menu, it is
possible to:
– select "Parkview Camera", then "Reversing camera" to activate or deactivate its use (On,
Off),
– select “Parkview Camera", then "Camera delay" to activate or deactivate the maintaining
of the display for 10 seconds or up to 11 mph (18
km/h) (On, Off),
– select "Traffic Sign" to activate or deactivate its use (On, Off),– select "Passenger airbag" to activate or deactivate its use (On, Off).
From the "Lights" sub-menu, it is possible to:
– select "Daytime running lamps" to activate or deactivate their use (On, Off),– select "Auto. main beam headlamps" to activate or deactivate its use (On, Off),– select "Headlamp sensor" to adjust its sensitivity (1, 2, 3).
From the "Doors & locking" sub-menu, it is
possible to:
– select "Autoclose" to activate or deactivate its use (On, Off).

Open storage space is located below the central console panel.
It provides access to auxiliary sockets (Jack and
USB) dedicated to transferring data to the audio
system.
Depending on equipment, it is also equipped
with a double cup holder and/or a smartphone
holder.

seat.
The seat with variable shock absorption has no storage space. The location under the passenger seat is
dedicated to the storage of the toolbox,
containing the tools to be used when changing a
wheel, a light bulb or towing the vehicle, etc.


To remove the box, turn the control a quarter turn
to unlock, then pull the box forwards.
When putting it back in place, do not forget to
turn the control a quarter turn in the opposite
direction to lock the box in its housing.
Foldable writing table

► Pull or push the top of the table to unfold or fold it.
The clip is used to hold documents, slips, etc.
To insert or extract a CD, firstly fold the
table.
If your vehicle is equipped with a 2-seat front
bench seat and a front passenger airbag, the
table cannot be raised.

Chilled glove box

It is located on the upper part of the dashboard,
passenger side.
The air circulated in the glove box is the same as
that circulated by the air vents.
USB socket


The socket is used only to power or recharge the
connected portable device.
Multifunction support

This can hold a portable device, such as a
smartphone in a vertical position or a tablet in a
horizontal position.


► Pull the top of the support to unfold it.► Tilt the side lever to unlock the upper and lower clamps.► Open the clamps to install the portable device.► Lift the side lever to lock the clamps.
Before folding the support, remove the
mobile device by repeating the same
operations.
Push the top of the support to fold it.
Front door pockets

Depending on the country of sale, one of the
door pockets may contain the puncture repair kit.

Driving
Brakes
Braking distances are increased when towing a
trailer. To avoid overheating of the brakes, the
use of engine braking is recommended.
Side wind
Bear in mind the increased susceptibility to the
wind that the vehicle will have.
Anti-theft protection
Electronic immobiliser
The keys contain an electronic immobiliser
device.
This device locks the engine supply system. It
activates automatically when the key is removed
from the ignition.
When the ignition switch is turned on, a dialogue
is set up between the key and the electronic
immobiliser.
This warning lamp goes off after the key has been recognised, the ignition is
switched on and the engine can be started.
If the key is not recognised, the engine
cannot be started. Use another key and
have the faulty key checked by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
Carefully note the key number. In case of
loss, the intervention of a PEUGEOT
dealer will be faster and more efficient if you
provide this number and the confidential card.
Do not make any modifications to the
electronic immobiliser system.
Operating the remote control, even in your
pocket, may cause the doors to be unlocked
accidentally.
The simultaneous use of other high-frequency
devices (mobile phones, home alarms, etc.),
may temporarily disturb the operation of the
remote control.
Except for reinitialisation, the remote control
cannot operate while the key is in the ignition
switch, even when the ignition is off.
Driving with the doors locked could make
it more difficult for the emergency
services to enter the vehicle in an emergency.
As a safety precaution (with children on
board), remove the key from the ignition when
leaving the vehicle, even for a short time.
When purchasing a second-hand
vehicle:
– check that you are in possession of the confidential card,– have the keys memorised by a PEUGEOT dealer, to be sure that the keys in your
possession are the only ones that allow the
vehicle to be started.
Confidential card

It is given to you upon delivery of your vehicle
with the duplicate key.
It contains the identification code required for
any intervention by a PEUGEOT dealer on the
electronic engine immobiliser system. This code
is hidden by a film, which is to be removed only
when necessary.
Keep your card in a safe place, never inside the
vehicle.
When undertaking a long trip or journey
however, it is advisable to take this card with you
along with your personal papers.
Starting-switching off the
engine
Ignition switch

STOP position: Anti-theft.
The ignition is off.
MAR position: ignition on.
Certain accessories can be used.
AV V position: starter.
The starter is operated.
Avoid attaching heavy objects to the key or the remote control, which would weigh
down on its blade in the ignition switch and
could cause a malfunction.

Multimedia audio system -
Bluetooth
® telephone
The system is protected in such a way that it will only operate in your vehicle.
For safety reasons, the driver must only
carry out operations that require close
attention with the vehicle stationary.When the engine is switched off and to
prevent discharging of the battery, the
system switches off after activation of energy
economy mode.
First steps
On/off, volume setting.
Select FM and AM wavebands.
Select USB or AUX source.
Display the list of connected telephones.
Rotate: scroll through a list or adjust radio
station.
Press: confirm the option displayed in the
screen.
Information on the current radio station or
media.
Select pre-set stations.
FM-A, FM-B, FM-C, AM-A, AM-B, AM-C.
Display the menu and set the options.
Radio buttons 1 to 6:
Select a pre-set radio station.
Long press: pre-set a station.
Random (shuffle) play
Repeat play.
Mute/pause the volume.
Automatic frequency search down.
Select the previous USB track.
Press and hold: rewind.
Automatic frequency search up. Select the next USB track.
Press and hold: fast forward.
Abandon the current operation.
Go up one level (menu or folder).
Steering mounted controls
Activate/deactivate the pause function of USB/iPod, AUX and Bluetooth® sources.
Activate/deactivate the mute function of the
radio.
Activate/deactivate the microphone during a
telephone conversation.
Toggle up or down: increase or decrease the volume for voice announcements and
music, hands-free and text message reading
sources.
Activate voice recognition. Pause a voice message to start a new
voice command.
Pause voice recognition.
Accept an incoming call. Accept a second incoming call and put
the active call on hold.
Activate voice recognition for the telephone
function.
Pause a voice message to give another voice
command.
Pause voice recognition.
Radio, toggle up or down: select next/
previous station.
Radio, toggle up or down continuously: scan up/
down frequencies until you release the button.

Voice commands
Information - Using the
system
Instead of touching the screen, you can
use your voice to control the system.
To ensure that voice commands are always recognised by the system, please
observe the following recommendations:
– speak in a normal tone of voice,– before speaking, always wait for the "beep" (acoustic signal),– the system is able to recognise the voice commands provided, regardless of gender,
tone and inflection of the voice of the speaker,
– if possible, minimise the noise inside the passenger compartment,– before issuing a voice command, ask any other passengers to refrain from speaking.
Since the system recognises commands
regardless of who is speaking, when several
people are speaking simultaneously, it
is possible for the system to recognise
commands that are different or additional to
what has been requested,
– for optimal operation, you are advised to close the windows and any sunroof present
(on versions/markets where fitted) to avoid
any external source of disturbance.
Telephone
Pairing a Bluetooth®
telephone
For safety reasons and because it
requires sustained attention by the driver,
the pairing of a Bluetooth
® mobile phone with
the hands-free kit of your audio system must
be done with the vehicle stationary.
Activate the Bluetooth
® function on the telephone
and ensure that it is "visible to all" (telephone
configuration).
Press the "Phone" button.
If no mobile phone has yet been paired
with the system, a special page is displayed in
the screen.
Select "Connect the telephone" to start the pairing procedure and then search for
the name of the system on the mobile phone.
Using the telephone keypad, enter the PIN
displayed on the screen of the system or confirm
the PIN displayed on the mobile phone.
During pairing, a screen page is displayed
showing the progress of the operation.If the pairing procedure fails, it is
recommended that you deactivate and
then reactivate the Bluetooth® function on your
telephone.
* If your telephone i s fully compatible with the system.
Once the pairing procedure is complete, a
screen page with "Connection
successful” appears:
Confirm to display the menus.
In particular, the telephone menu provides
access to the following functions: " List. of
calls”, “Contacts”*, “Num. keypad.".
Receiving a call
An incoming call is announced by a ring and a
display overlaid on the screen.
Press this button to accept the call.
Or press this steering-mounted button to accept the call.
Ending a call
To refuse the call, press this steering- mounted button.
Making a call
Select “List of calls ” to access the latest
dialled numbers.
Select "Contacts” to display your
contacts, then navigate with the dial.
To dial a number, use "Num. keypad" in the system.
Settings
System settings
Press the “MENU” button.
Select “System settings” then press to
view the list of settings and to activate or
deactivate the options:
– "Reinitialise default value "– "20 min. delay to switch off "– “Volume limit at start-up"– "Automatic"
Audio
Press the “MENU” button.
Select “Audio” then press to view the list
of settings and to activate or deactivate
the options:
– "Treble"– “Medium”– “Bass ”
– "Balance"– “Volume adapted according to the speed ”– "Loudness"
The audio settings are different and
independent for each audio source.
