seated in the vehicle.

tires originally installed on the ve-
hicle at the factory.
3Cold tire pressure: Inflate the tires
to this pressure when the tires are
cold. Tires are considered COLD
after the vehicle has been parkedfor 3 or more hours, or driven less
than 1 mile (1.6 km) at moderate
speeds. The recommended cold
tire inflation is set by the manufac-
turer to provide the best balance
of tire wear, vehicle handling,
driveability, tire noise, etc., up to

Checking tire pressure
WARNING
•Driving at high speeds, 100 mph
(160 km/h) or higher sustained
where it is legal to do so, can
cause tires to have excessive heat
build up, which may result in a
tire failure causing loss of control,
crash, injuries or even death.
Some high-speed rated tires re-
quire inflation pressure adjust-
ment for high-speed operation.
When speed limits and road con-
ditions allow vehicle driving at
high speeds, make sure tires are
rated to support high speed op-
eration, tires are in optimal con-
ditions and pressure is adjusted
to correct cold inflation pressure
for high speed operation.•If your vehicle is equipped with
P235/55R20 tire sizes, tires re-
quire adjustment to the inflation
pressure when driving the vehicle
at speeds of 100 mph (160
km/h) or higher where it is legal
to do so. See recommended tire
inflation chart for correct operat-
ing pressure.
•After vehicle high speed opera-
tion has ended, readjust the tire
pressure to the recommended
cold inflation pressure. For addi-
tional information please refer to
the "Checking tire pressure" sec-
tion of this manual.
1. Remove the valve stem cap from
the tire.

2. Press the pressure gauge squarely
onto the valve stem. Do not press
too hard or force the valve stem
sideways, or air will escape. If the
hissing sound of air escaping from
the tire is heard while checking the
pressure, reposition the gauge to
eliminate this leakage.
3. Remove the gauge.
4. Read the tire pressure on the
gauge stem and compare to the
specification shown on the Tire
and Loading Information label.
5. Add air to the tire as needed. If too
much air is added, press the core of
the valve stem briefly with the tip
of the gauge stem to release pres-
sure. Recheck the pressure and add
or release air as needed.
6. Install the valve stem cap.
7. Check the pressure of all other
tires, including the spare.8. Check the pressure when driving
the vehicle at speeds of 100 mph
(160 km/h) or higher where it is
legal to do so.

Seat belt hook
When the seat belt is not in use and when
folding down the rear seats, hook the rear
seat belts on the seat belt hooks.
SEAT BELT EXTENDERS
If, because of body size or driving position, it
is not possible to properly fit the lap/shoulder
belt and fasten it, an extender that is compat-
ible with the installed seat belts is available
for purchase. The extender adds approxi-
mately 8 in (200 mm) of length and may be
used for all seating positions.Seat belt extenders are available for the:
∙ Driver and front passenger seating posi- tion
∙ 2nd and 3rd row seating position
It is recommended that you visit an INFINITI
retailer for assistance with purchasing an ex-
tender if an extender is required.
WARNING
∙ Only INFINITI seat belt extenders, made by the same company which made the
original equipment seat belts, should be
used with INFINITI seat belts.
∙ Adults and children who can use the stan- dard seat belt should not use an extender.
Such unnecessary use could result in seri-
ous personal injury in the event of an
accident.
∙ Never use seat belt extenders to install child restraints. If the child restraint is
not secured properly, the child could be
seriously injured or killed in a collision or a
sudden stop.
SEAT BELT MAINTENANCE
∙ To clean the seat belt webbing, apply a
mild soap solution or any solution recom-
mended for cleaning upholstery or car-
pet. Then wipe with a cloth and allow the
seat belts to dry in the shade. Do not
allow the seat belts to retract until they
are completely dry.
∙ If dirt builds up in the shoulder belt guide
of the seat belt anchors, the seat belts
may retract slowly. Wipe the shoulder
belt guide with a clean, dry cloth.
∙ Periodically check to see that the seat
belt and the metal components, such as
buckles, tongues, retractors, flexible
wires and anchors, work properly. If loose
parts, deterioration, cuts or other dam-
age on the webbing is found, the entire
seat belt assembly should be replaced.

∙ If the light illuminates while driving, avoid sudden steering maneuvers or
abrupt braking, reduce vehicle speed, pull
off the road to a safe location and stop
the vehicle as soon as possible. Driving
with under-inflated tires may perma-
nently damage the tires and increase the
likelihood of tire failure. Serious vehicle
damage could occur and may lead to an
accident and could result in serious per-
sonal injury or death. Check the tire pres-
sure for all four tires. Adjust the tire pres-
sure to the recommended COLD tire
pressure show on the Tire and Loading
Information label located in the driver’s
door opening to turn the low tire pressure warning light OFF. If the light still illumi-
nates while driving after adjusting the
tire pressure, a tire may be flat or the
TPMS may be malfunctioning. If you
have a flat tire, replace it with a spare tire
as soon as possible. If no tire is flat and all
tires are properly inflated, have the ve-
hicle checked. It is recommended that you
visit an INFINITI retailer for this service.
∙ When replacing a wheel without the TPMS such as the spare tire, the TPMS
will not function and the low tire pressure
warning light will flash for approximately
1 minute. The light will remain on after
1 minute. Have your tires replaced
and/or TPMS system reset as soon as
possible. It is recommended that you visit
an INFINITI retailer for these services.
∙ Replacing tires with those not originally specified by INFINITI could affect the
proper operation of the TPMS.
CAUTION
∙ The TPMS is not a substitute for theregular tire pressure check. Be sure to
check the tire pressure regularly.
∙ If the vehicle is being driven at speeds of less than 16 mph (25 km/h), the TPMS
may not operate correctly.
∙ Be sure to install the specified size of tires to the four wheels correctly.
Master warning light
When the ignition switch is in the ON posi-
tion, the master warning light illuminates if
any of the following are displayed on the
vehicle information display:
∙ No key warning
∙ Low fuel warning
∙ Low washer fluid warning
∙ Parking brake release warning
∙ Door open warning

2-Wheel Drive (2WD). If this warning is dis-
played, stop the vehicle with the engine idling,
as soon as it is safe to do so. Then if the
warning turns off, you can continue driving.
Tire Size Incorrect: See Owner’s Manual (if
so equipped)
This warning may appear if there is a large
difference between the diameters of the
front and rear wheels. Pull off the road in a
safe area, with the engine idling. Check that
all the tire sizes are the same, that the tire
pressure is correct and that the tires are not
excessively worn.
Door Open
This warning illuminates when a door has
been opened.
Liftgate Open
This warning illuminates when the liftgate
has been opened.
Timer Alert — Have a break?
This indicator appears when the set time is
reached. The time can be set up to six hours.

in this section.Low Outside Temperature
This warning appears if the outside tempera-
ture is below 37°F (3°C). The temperature
can be changed to display in Celsius or Fahr-
enheit. For additional information, refer to

Power will turn off to save the battery
This message appears in the vehicle informa-
tion display after a period of time if the igni-
tion switch is in the ACC or the ON position
and if the vehicle is in P (Park). For additional
information, refer to “Push-button ignition

section of this manual.
Reminder: Turn OFF headlights
This warning appears when the headlights
are left in the ON position when exiting the
vehicle. Place the headlight switch in the OFF
or AUTO position. For additional informa-

Parking Sensor Error: See Owner’s Manual
This warning illuminates when there is an
error with the system. For additional infor-

HOW TO PARK WITH
PREDICTED COURSE LINES
WARNING
∙ If the tires are replaced with different sized tires, the predicted course lines may
be displayed incorrectly.
∙ On a snow-covered or slippery road, there may be a difference between the
predicted course line and the actual
course line.
∙ If the battery is disconnected or becomes discharged, the predicted course lines
may be displayed incorrectly. If this oc-
curs, please perform the following
procedures:
– Turn the steering wheel from lock to lock while the engine is running.
– Drive the vehicle on a straight road for more than 5 minutes.
∙ When the steering wheel is turned with the ignition switch in the ACC position,
the predicted course lines may be dis-
played incorrectly. 1. Visually check that the parking space is
safe before parking your vehicle.
